Uhm.. granting a heal over time to all party members is going to directly increase your enmity based on the amount healed. How exactly does that not matter for tanking?



Yes but the heal over time is dependant on being followed up by a heal, the question is who gets the enmity ?
IE. PLD uses skill, WHM heals .. ??



Ya that puzzle me is who get the hate. It's a healing that part is right, but isn't it just add a regen effect like casting status spell such as protect or stoneskin that type of hate? it's a little bit hard to tell. ^^:
oh and I think above post I just want to discuss about the enmity from abilities and damage intake as a tank.
I think it's not way too early to discuss at this stage ^^:



LNC feels more like a DRK in XI now



I would tank in light parties as a LNC using Life Surge and another LNC using Speed Surge. Combine that with Leg Sweep, Featherfoot > Jarring Strike, Daze, and Bloodbath I rarely needed outside heals as the mob was already gone. It rarely attacked and I could keep hate if I opened with Doomspike II.



Ya, actually that's just Bloodbath which MRD already has natively. It only works for the next attack.
Life Surge and Speed Surge work as an enhancement effect and proc every time you auto attack.
No stealing of anything.
