I don't see how SE can do that in any sort of fair way. Sure they can refund the actual property itself, but what about time/effort for everything else that went into it? They can't refund that.

That's exactly why in the end I highly doubt they gonna do it. Whole process of "evict' needed to be created to ensure that all items can be retrieved including exterior items. And the whole process could be used just one time. I don't think it's worth. As for the time someone put to leveling alts - they still have a high level alts. This has nothing to do with owning a house.

No. SE even started old event to give new players older items they can't exactly put on mog station. And most of items with was event only was put to mog station a year later. Letting players owning more house than one just because they played a lot more than new players is not fair. I think that the FFXIV really want for every player - new or old to have equal chance to own a house.

Also guys please consider that with Stormblood start game has really change. The World of Warcraft player base decide to leave game after so many years and start new mmorpg experience with FFXIV even before SB. We have a LOT of new players in every open server we have. So it was predictable that transfer from another world will be popular. There nothing wrong with transfer from big server to smaller hoping to grab a house. It's nothing wrong with demanding a house when game basically advertise himself with that feature. Sad is that some players decide to harass someone just because they own multiple houses.

I'd be more sympathetic with this argument were housing an actual necessity - pretty much everything related to housing is "greed" content.

While I agree that it should be restricted (should have been restricted from the start) to one house per server per account, I don't condemn the players that have more than that... assuming they don't do it to profit off of them.

Are you saying if you had the opportunity to purchase more than 1 house you wouldn't do it? If server was dead and it was wards upon wards of free plots? Cause that how most of us got our houses.

My opinion is if you took the time to level up a character to 50, got high rank in your GC and grinded the gil for it then nothing is 'unfair'.
As for solution the only thing is 'fair' is grandfather it in.

How is SE gonna value all time i put down to decorate? Crafting house items? Just reimburse me for the plot price? Give me a break.

As I said before I understand that multiple houses owners don't want to lose their houses. Nobody bash on "you", people actually mad on the system that let you own multiple plots when there're FC that can't use airship because they don't have a house. Also there a lot of people who want to own their private home - they FIRST private home and they can't. So you really think it's fair for they than you have 2-3 houses and they can't have even one? It's not. You didn't broke any rules but situation need to be change. If FFXIV team decide to leave multiple house owners in peace then they should create that much plots to give everyone possibility to own house on their alts. One person FC is more tricky situation.

I have the gil, I've had the opportunity, and I can 100% without a doubt say... no I wouldn't do this.

I sincerely hope they implement a 1 FC/1 Personal house per account, per server. While I don't agree with users owning multiple properties (regardless of the reason), I don't think they should have those plots stripped from them; they should be grandfathered in.

You might wanna take a few mins and read thru these threads i get bashed on all the time for owning multi houses.

There were servers with 100's of empty houses sitting this is wahat like 6 months ago so for 3 years 100's of empty houses .it was 100% personal choice if you wanted a house. Anyone who wanted a house could of had one . Just like i did way over a year ago, you could of transfered to a low pop servers mine had 200+ empty houses. People had to pick if they wanted a house over friends or there server and pay the $18 and you could buy a house..

Now Se has spread the housing issuse to every single server..but we all still have the same chance at buy a house.. camp athers and check every few hours. ive seen 3 this last week forsale (no i didnt buy them)

When i grow up hahaha.. We live in differn't words.. the lessons ive learned as i grew up is. Read the rules of what im paying $26.99 a month for ..Get the most i possable can for the money im paying with out breaking any rules.. and if i want some thing do every thing in my power to get it with out breaking any rules... hense why i payed to transfer to where houses were

Thats fine i understand there are many langues here. just wanted you to know yes people are bashing multi home owners , even going as far as making alts on there servers spaming tells harrassing them. i finally reported one

we will find out in 4 days about new players when they annouce the changes to the housing system, hopefully in part 1 of the live letter (They might wait for part 2 who knows)..

IF this had been a massive issue prior to free transfers.. don't you think Se would of changed the system in 3 1/2 years lol Did they change it?? they added housing demo timers thats it . you know why cause there was options to get a house many servers had empty plots for years and years all you had to do is make a charcter there or pay to transfer to where houses were.

Filling all the servers caused this massive issue hense why alotttt of people have fourm join dates after the free transfer system who are posting on this subject..My self included because now i have to defend the houses ive had for a year n half now cause of the out cry..
