That's fine. Something along the lines of being a toggle-able option in PF, seeable pre-joining would be alright as well. I just don't think it should be imposed on the majority of the playerbase is all.

It's true that we must still remember that it is a game.Gonna say maybe not because visible numbers might impose expectations on a playerbase that plays the game solely for fun rather than for optimization. ACT already exists though it's unfortunate that PS4 players don't have access to it. Publically visible parsing would be akin to seeing people's incomes floating above their head, can lead to feelings of inadequacy or stress where it shouldn't be; a game. I have a "you do you, I'll do me" mentality about it though.
Yes this is a game, however I play the game to win and do good, who buys a game not killing bosses, mini fights etc? Did people buy for example a older FF games for sightseing and not complete the story?
I guess for many people the goal is indeed different, but if it is, why do people bother other in groups doing nothing but bad? I'm not saying everyone is bad, but I'm saying the bad outweights the good players by a LARGE margin in this game. Look at the dungeons that got nerfed, we all know why they got nerfed.
Playing well and this is different. Yes the goal is different for many. Simple exemple, some don't play for the story in it, and some even ask to have no story at all. But this exemple aside, playing well and playing for the sake of number is different too.
In older FF you train to pass a fight without a parser too right? So why now it would be impossible.
Sure some don't will always ask for a nerf because they're bad and don't want to learn anything but i don't know what can be done for them :/ beside playing another game maybe?
I mean the nerf weren't even cause because of the DPS done but because some don't care about mechanics at all.

In older FF games beating a fight wasn't about your DPS, so a DPS parser wouldn't have helped you. They were also single player games, so you weren't accountable to anyone else but yourself, and no one else was able to prevent you from winning. FFXI did have enrage timers, and parsers were used in that one.
