Disable all cs in pf unsynched groups

Terrible idea.
I help people through Coil all the time so they can experience the story. I'm not there for a challenge so I'll unsync it.
If they couldn't watch the cutscenes what's the point? Watching them later on their own just isn't the same when your party of friends populate cutscenes with you.

Get your tomes somewhere else, then. The bonus is there so people help the newbies as compensation for having to sit there while they watch cutscenes and stuff. If you don't want to do that, you don't deserve the bonus.

Can you do this please. 1 dude needs help or 7 people to carry him through content. You help out of the kindness of your heart or you are a bonus whore w/e. Then this dude or some other random in the group wants to watch that 20min cs in coils or every damn cs through Alexander. These fights take less time then the cs.

If it’s the PF owner watching the cutscenes, or if the PF owner is fine with other people enjoying the cutscenes, especially Coil’s cutscenes, then: their PF, their rules. Don’t like it? That’s too bad. Make your own PF for “bonus tome farming—no watching cutscenes allowed” to get the people you want.

You don't deserve any cs if you doing content unsynched. You also have the option before you list in pf go in by yourself and watch cs then exit and then seek help in pf if you need that immersion before you ignore mechanics unsynched and get carried.

Good luck telling anyone to queue up for Coil or Alexander via Duty Finder because those queues never pop. Alexander normal was bad enough in Heavensward, and Coil has never been something made for DF. I’m sorry, but you don’t deserve the bonus tomes with your attitude towards the entire situation.

You can even add you are watching cs in title so I can avoid you like the plague. No1 really minds 1 min or 2 min ones but man but still it adds up to a lot of our time wasted.

If you want bonus tomes, you gotta give somewhere. Don’t like it? Don’t join unsynced Coil PFs because a lot of the ones I see are specifically for watching the cutscenes due to how amazing the Coil story is. If you aren’t willing to wait for someone who made their own PF to enjoy the cutscenes of old content that you absolutely cannot get a Duty Finder queue to pop for, then you don’t deserve your bonus tomes. Get them elsewhere; because it’s not like poetics are some extremely rare currency that’s hard to come by. Sorry, not sorry.

People keep going on about the bonus, but poetics and verity are useless right now. What SE did when they realized this was force the relic to use an insane amount of tomes so you did all the help newbie modes once per day, and when that peaked they added wondrous tails, which gave rewards for doing the yet again.

The problem now though is we're back to the modes being useless for vets. the only worthwhile attainable thing from WT now is tier 6 craft/gather materia. I have a very nasty feeling our relic is going to go back to a tome grind when they realize this again.

personally I dont mind tome grinds, or any real grind period, its just when they add RNG elements to the grind that bug me. the atma portion of the first relic was the part that broke my desire to get it, I would have done the fate grinding if it was a guarantee'd drop but it was all a dice roll if you even got it.

There are still a fair amount of people doing relics, especially now since it's good busywork during downtime and imo the obnoxious number of dungeons and stuff you need to run for them *can* help people play their class better. I was much quicker with cards on ast after getting my anima lux for it just for fun.

Poe is good for grinding desynthesis and I've been using verity to stock up on desynthesis fodder to burn through once the desynthesis cap is raised.

You're better off doing anything but poetics for desynth. It's a lot faster to earn the 30k in gil per piece of a vended equipment than the 250 or more poetics for a similar piece. I don't know about the cap; keep in mind this assumes that the items will resolve into worthwhile things. A lot of old gear at 60s gave you ampithetre leather.

For relic...most people will quit at trying to get into snowcloak. If they persist, the light step will kill them; many of the best ways to get it no longer pop frequently if at all. I don't think it will be a draw for many people. SE will have to start to do something about teh lack of incentives for old content; I spend 16 min some days just trying to get intro trials as a rdm.
