The moment i saw PGL going through so much MP, I knew BRD was gonna be another refresher, that we all HAD to have, in order to make an exp PT.... here we go again...
Now we need a tank a healer AND a refresher, just to make a PT.
/sigh

Ok? What's the problem? Every MMO that's social based utilizes a tank, support and healer role for party and raid make ups. It's nothing new.
Because the "holy trinity" is an old trope that needs to be done away with if MMOs are going to evolve in this day and age?
That is why I hope Guild Wars 2 breaks this trend, as I find the holy trinity in MMOs to be an annoying and outdated concept.

You would always have someone who tank, someone who heal, someone who make the dmg and someone who make the rest.
Say you have a priest which can heal & tank, you still have a healer and a tanker, although in one person.

If exp parties are going to be anything like they are now, BRD is most definitely not going to be required no matter what other jobs you have in the group. Raids and Dungeons might be a different matter, however. I could see a BRD being required (by the community, but not by design) for some of the longer boss fights if they are ever implemented.
