What Firon remembers SE saying is that the class change info will be released sometime AFTER 1.19 goes live. Which could mean the day before 1.20.

You are also wrong. Yoshida said back in August, and quite specifically, that the class changes notes would be released when 1.19 went live so they could monitor player feedback.

Alongside the overhaul to the algorithms, work is also proceeding on redefining and redistributing abilities for Disciples of War and Magic. This is a hefty amount of work, and not all classes will be ready by patch 1.19. But rather than a partial release, we’ve decided to save the implementation of all classes for 1.20. We’ll make the details of the planned changes available when 1.19 goes live, and monitor player feedback as a way to help define our direction. When 1.19 goes live that did not mean the same day....that could mean anytime they feel like it, and also if your putting so much faith into the translations your fooling yourself thinking they are right all the time.

I doubt anyone actually expected same day delivery, so to speak, but I don't think that "when 1.19 goes live" actually means "six weeks after 1.19 goes live."

Actually some people thought we was getting the info changes when 1.19 went live, that's why i said you could tell the translation was dead wrong. If we was gonna get the notes when it went live we would have had them by now.

No, when means concurrently. If someone tells me to go when the light turns green I'm not going to wait a few cycles then go. As when denotes immediate action based on a predetermined stimuli.

If it was going to be anytime before 1.20, they'd have said "prior to 1.20." SE is a company the is deliberate about the language it uses. This new dev team has yet to make a deadline that it has publicly set for itself and this info release is just a glaring example of that.

Or, and I know this is a tough pill to swallow because you seem to believe SE is infallible, it was translated correctly and they just flat out failed to meet their own deadline like they have all year. But it's also plausible that every single one of this deadlines was a mistranslation. Darn good for nothing professional translators mistranslating times for a year straight...

Wait. Missed their deadlines all year? I seem to recall a very speedy process between 1.18 and 1.19, where they met all expectations. Even the maintenance went down smoothly, which surprised me to no end.

You seem to be saying that the reason we didn't get the notes when 1.19 went live is because the notes weren't translated properly. You don't seem to be taking into account the likelihood that they're flat out late. Considering how often they've delayed everything else, I don't know why you would rule out this possibility. . .
