    So, perhaps instead of asking for balance adjustments, since DRK is plenty compatible with all current content, we should be asking instead for changes to the gameplay feel? Since, I don't think I'm any where near alone when I say DRK just feels downright awful in Stormblood.

    I would love to have our Heavensward usage of Dark Arts and Dark Passenger back along with maybe a bleed again. Please?

    problem is if it's gotten this far without changes, it's safe to say SE sees it as a perfectly functioning skill. Even if it's usage is severely limited and functions like mercy stroke insofar as it's only [able to be] used when a creature dies.
    Though tanks did lose mercy stroke in SB, sooo... :thinking:

    Personally, I still believe the real hurdle for dark knight is doubleweaving due to the current dark arts functionality. Future instant skills with dark arts affects will just create more problems without a dark arts rework.

    Gameplay is fun...at least according to the 1st world Ultimate player which most likely holds more weight than random forum poster.

    Fun is subjective, random forum poster's opinion holds just as much weight in that regard as WF ultimate player.

    Yes dark game play animations and lore is fun but compare to other tanks you are weakest.
    At this point ultimate savage clears
    Week ago it was 7 clears 3 drk/pld 4 war/pld
    Today its 16 clears 3 drk/pld from first week and 13 war/pld

    I Allredy see where it's going.

    If ppl recall most Alex world first clears were war/pld.
    If it's case why pld needed any buff begin whit.
    Think on that if you bring up Ultima savage first clear as excuse

    They'll still use it as an excuse to justify that DRK is fine... ESPECIALLY WHEN LORE AND GAMEPLAY DON'T MATCH! (I'm looking at you, DRK level 70 quest ending...)

    HW PLD was great for progression. Once people figured out fights and there was no need for the fail-safe mitigation PLD offered, DRK became more desireable.

    Their plea for some sort of buff was indeed justified.



    SB PLD is great both during and after progression.

    SB DRK is theoretically worse in both scenarios.

    The only time DRK shines is in lvl 70 dungeons, and only under the condition that everyone knows how to perform.

    I'd argue it's the most sustained tank in PVP, but who cares about that?

    I'd also argue against it in dungeons, as you still have a class with a very obvious cooldown deficiency, and the optimal play method there is to pull as much as humanly possible.
