Healers are way too strong in large scale PvP.

I know PvP is balanced for feast, since it's the only competitive gamemode, but Frontlines and Rival Wings is suffering hard because of it. It is insane to me that a group of 3-4 healers can pretty much stall half the alliance just fine. It just seems wrong that 50% of the people in the alliance are needed to kill 1/6 of the other. So while half the alliance is trying to uproot these healers form an objective, the other 5/6th of the alliance they have is getting stuff done. Might as well just queue an alliance of 24 healers and be unstoppable. There's no reason to kill players and mechs kill everything else.

I agree, healers need nerfing, the new game mode should be fun but it's not because of this, instead I find it boring.

It took 5 of us to take down an Astro in nocturnal stance who was holding the bottom mid where the cerulean is >_< then a scholar came and it was damn near impossible

An easy fix seems like it'd be a straight potency nerf to self-healing. Possibly also make it so abilities Bene/ED can only work on people other than yourself. A healer should be support, not a soloing stonewall that takes group overwhelming to take down.

I understand the frustration about healers, but you cant just gut them out. There will have to be compensating factors for any nerfs. Putting healers out of commission (low heal and low damage) will bring back the old void of healers in pvp where winners were decided by which team has healers and which does not. I'm happy to see a good spread of classes for once.

I have been able to break many healer super tanks on ninja simply by waiting for a focused attack from my team and then lining up stun -> silence -> assassinate at the peak. Works like a charm and PLDs can do that too. Simply gutting healers will remove any incentive for coordination and team play.

That's pretty much how it is now, but worse because healers are even harder to kill then they originally were due to being unable to chain CC them.

The only regard they're actually weaker in now is AoE healing.

Yeah, if you want to kill a healer, just overtask them. Keeping someone alive, and watching the generator for captures, and keeping themselves alive...

I don't have a problem with the healing potency, what I do take issue with is as a dps my only recourse against a healer 1v1 is to flee. If they want to heal themselves all day long while a dps is silly enough to 1v1 them, have at it...but being able to heal yourself AND being able to dps is just pure insanity.

This has been a thing ever since the revamped pvp system they need to either increase the dps potency or lower healing, or add back the ability to critical hit and more sources of stuns/burst somehow..

Oh yeah, ever since they released Stormblood PvP adjustments, ASTs in Nocturnal stance are unkillable by spamming aspected benefic. Made even worse when they use Lightspeed+Celestial Opposition or stay within their Earthly Stars.

On a more serious note, I do agree that healer stacking in the Frontlines modes that didn't prioritize (or reward) kills has always been a glaring issue since even back in Secure (especially Secure where parties of 4+ WHMs would stack Medics 2s and hold the bases). I honestly think the devs need to make some changes that clearly separates Feast balance from Frontlines balance. The problem looks like healers need to be equipped to heal through some bursts/heavy focus in Feast, but need moderation in Frontlines.

The only other sensible alternative would be to cause the healing-debuff (forgot the status name.... ranged DPS's LB afflicts it) frequently from different sources (such as having some mech's attacks give the debuff or certain areas/towers/generator room have it). I do agree that once you put several healers together in a Frontlines situation where damaging/kills aren't the answer, then they can easily keep each other alive and still make progress.
