Viera as the next new race~ Show your support

Yeah, it's possible that we will see Viera in Ivalice part 2 or part 3(final).

My guess would be "Part 3", before the next addon.

This. I hate that people want the child like variant over the adult version. While i wont blindly say that can't be cute, the fact is in the franchise they have always been depicted as a strong, proud warriors. I want the Viera that exemplify elegance and refinement, pride and allure. The team was so exact in bringing us Bangaa why should Viera be changed up so much?

I love the small cute version. I also like the tall elegant version. I've really come around to the idea of having tall/elegant females and short/cute males. Correct me if I'm wrong, but although there are male viera, we've never actually seen them, right? So I'd be ok with the males looking short/cute like in the concept art. I'd probably change my main to a male viera if that was the case, and I'd make a female viera alt as well.

On a side note, not too long ago I learned female rabbits tend to be bigger than male rabbits of the same breed. Not saying that viera should necessarily reflect the reality of how real rabbits actually are, but it was just a fun thing I found out.

You sure you want Vieras guys? Because if they make it in FFXIV, I'm pretty they'll get thet flat ass treatment (and we all know you want dem bunny girls for their curves.)

I'm not sure if butt sliders or whatever will be added to the game. If not, hopefully they design the female viera to be a little curvier for the people who like that kinda thing. Maybe give viera a curve slider? Ideally they'd give all races a "curve" slider, but yeah. lol

I think female au ra weren't created with curves because of the aesthetic they were going for; small and petite female. With viera, I think there's a good chance they'll give them curves. To be honest, I don't really care so much for curves, so I'd be fine either way. For me, I don't want like... super thicc ass females. Some curve would be nice like in the picture mature posted.

Mi'qotes females used to have ass.. I don't want to bring this topic up once more but females derplander and mi'qote are flat. If vieras make it in FFXIV, they'll definitely be flat as well

Yeah I remember. Honestly, I don't know how the dev team goes about creating races. Like they mesh the models and stuff? I don't get the technical stuff.

I think they could mesh curves onto the females, but at the expense of having to stretch out the gear to fit the curves. Like I said, I don't particularly care too much about curves. It would be nice for the people that want them though. ;c

While i would be against a child variant, a more slight of frame adult male would be a welcome change. Should the sexual dimorphism showcased by Roegadyne and Au ra, be reversed (taller females shorter adult males). i feel it would offer players an option they expect from the FF series settings/ themes/ aesthetics.

A lot of people say things could get weird if we have childlike races.
We have lalafell. People will argue that lalafells are passable because they do not necessarily have human child proportions.

Now, Yoshi P seems hung up on viera having digitigrade feet if they are ever added into the game. (Even though I would be fine with normal human hands and feet). If Yoshi P decides to add a viera race with digitigrade feet, then obviously, this new race wouldn't have human child proportions, and should be able to pass. If this viera race will have digitigrade feet, rabbit ears, claws, and a tail, then I can argue that lalafells look closer to human children than a viera with these traits would.

I most likely would not play a Viera myself, fell in love with Au Ra soon I saw them, but I do support it to be added as a race.
Yoshida did ask once if the community really wanted a buttslider at the cost of textures being stretched a little, so maybe, pray for 5.0.

I don't think the concern with the Viera concept art is that they are child-like, but more that SE may give them the female Au Ra treatment. We do already have a lot of cutesy races in-game as it is. Viera, as they are in XII, are pretty badass looking. The concept art, not so much.

Truth be told, I'd probably fantasia to either style as the idea of Viera makes me giddy, but I would definitely prefer to have the Fran version.

I'd like to see the female viera look like Fran. Although they might end up looking closer to the concept art which I am totally fine with too. I like both.
I'm like you in the fact that I'll end up playing as a viera either way if they come out.

Same here. I wouldn't mind either but would prefer to see a taller/fran-like Viera
