At the very least this limitation should be based upon house size, with larger houses having a slightly higher limit. 40 clickable wallpapers and paintings don't go very far in a Large house, especially when that is shared with other absolutely gorgeous furnishings, like Gubal lamps.

At the very least we need an explanation of why this issue exists as well as solutions to get rid of the cap or lower the interactive item count if that's not possible. For example they could have something similar to a paint furniture menu for interactive furniture that lets you change the painting, swap flowers, change wallpaper, etc and then there's no interactive nature to these objects out of that menu. Given the limited number of larger sized houses, we don't need more limitations based on house size added.

We actually had an issue in our FC house recently where too many interactive items (our upstairs 'inn room' was full of food, flower vases, and lamps) made large interactive items (fish tank, cooking stove, etc.) disappear at any distance farther than a few character-lengths away. This even happened to our members with the best graphics cards (and one of them almost had an aneurysm, which was kind of amusing.) As soon as we took out a couple of the food items, everything went back to normal. While I assume that this won't happen everywhere or to everything, I bet this is why there's a limit.

The thing is: This happens BECAUSE of the limitation - there is not really a hard cap wehere the game says "you placed 40 interactable items, you cant place more"
You just can place as much as you want and after you placed more then 40, random items will disapear regardless of how much power your rig has or not - without any warning or whatsoever (and if someone of SE is reading this: No we surely do NOT want just a warning message for the cap)

Maybe this limitation is an legacy to the old PS3 which - maybe - wasnt powerfull enough to show all them. But on the other Hand: Why would a interactable item cost more ressources then a non-interactable? Has to be rendered in any case. Still there is the cap on 400 Items per big house which is totally ok for me.

because you not only have to send the position of the item from the server to the client but also if the lamp is on or off, if the food decoration is still there or if it's all eaten and just the empty plate is left, what picture is in the frame, wich decoration is on the wall, is the shower running or not... and if the game asks about this aaaall the time, since anybody can easily click on something and change the status of the item at any time, this could cause some server load.

As cool as interactive items are, I hope there are fewer of them going forward. The majority of new furnishings lately have been interactive, which means I can't use them due to the limit.
