The Japanese player base was the part of the community that had the most to do with the recent changes in the veteran system whether you want to acknowledge that or not. They were the players that were the most vocal about the system for the longest.

As for ARR people getting their own rewards, well they've been playing the longest so they are the ones who will probably have more achievement points under the new system which hasn't really been fleshed out yet. We're going to have to wait and see there.

On topic though, I personally feel like veteran rewards have been enough (at least in the past). I don't really think there's any good reason to reward older players outside of that. I suppose in the past, it was likely that you could have more rare event gear if you had been around for longer, but the cash shop has evened that out.

"Most vocal" and "Most listened to" are two completely different things. I highly doubt SE even bothers to see how many posts are on the majority of the forum outside of whatever glamour contest they are hosting currently. Throwing in this junk system is an insult to all the ARR players as now anyone can get whatever rewards that we had to pay several months or even years to attain. It's the same as walking into a job and being given the keys while those that have been there for years are just base employees that have been turned down for raises for the last 4 quarters to "cut costs".

We have two actually, assuming they got both. We have the blackened armor and singed feathers and the goobue with a carpet on top.

I put that in quotation marks because heck, I don't know you.. maybe this IS all you wanted to play this game for, deck yourself out like Squall and lord it over people who aren't at that tier yet, but if you're playing this game for fun then is it really even worth getting slightly disgruntled over? Sure Greeny McNoobface over there has the same glamour you do.. but did that make yours look any worse? Were you unhappy when they brought back other events and suddenly other people had things that used to be exclusive to people who played during the original?
I have the Primogs minion, I got it with one of the soundtrack Blu-rays. If they gave it out suddenly to everyone who did a mini-quest they invented it wouldn't make my soundtrack sound any worse or make me unhappy I bought that disc, cause I bought it for the music.

I've been with this game since the beginning and have enjoyed ... most of it. =] I'm always at a loss to people who seem to want exclusionary items just to high-class it over newer players.
