Now it never happens so im theory something was adjusted on servers/SE end as i'm running with same hardware.

Or the majority of us simply just don't go and kill Ixion any more. Once you have enough horns to trade in for the item(s) you want, there really is no incentive to go back and kill him again.

Well, that's why I still do it cause i got my mount pre nerf and going back casually whenver i know its up to collect rest of the newly added items.
