Player opinion request: When do you think they will re-open transfers to Omega/why?

I've contacted support twice. On the first time (right when Omega wasn't a new world anymore) they said that they can't give any estimate of when it would open and just recommended to check the restriction page from time to time. On the second try (right before 4.1) they said that no one tells the GM's anything about that stuff so they have no clue. And to check the restriction page.
I would say that this is getting ridiculous at this point, but let's be honest, it was ridiculous long time ago. Sure I could give up and transfer to another world with other friends, but that would mean that all this waiting was for nothing and would feel completely pointless.
Just don't really know what to say. At this point I'd be willing to pay double, maybe even triple the transfer cost just to get in, but Square Enix just doesn't want my money.

There's literally no reason to keep Omega closed to transfers, at least while all the servers like Leviathan aren't... Sure Limsa has a bit of activity in the evenings, but not much compared to say Ragnarok, and as a crafter and gatherer there's barely any incentive to stay on Omega, most people became self-sufficient in 4 months, the only reason most of us stay is because we got housing...
And while yes cross-world PF is great, but I literally only log to keep my house or for a quick raid, I stopped bothering with crafting and gathering or even socialising, since we always run into the same people, who are also bored with Omega.

Its a shame that all we can really do is post here and hope it gets heard.
I'd encourage any potential lurkers/others who visit this thread a lot to comment for potentially more traction.
I checked the census a few days ago and Louisoix is catching up to Omega's active population (Omega's is falling, Louis's is rising)
Next census entry might have them both level and I doubt it can be considered a new world then surely.
Character creation has been locked on Louisoix too even more now than it used to through my daily checkings of the lodestone page..
Its been so long already but I do not want to give up hope..

I was so tired of the locked state of Omega that I left and moved to Louisoix, as I was unable to move some of my alt characters that had materials, money and other things I had planned to bring over to Omega.

I had a house and just left it as I got the plot price refunded instantly as Louisoix was a new world, and still is amazingly.

The real issue is the extreme, insane amount of EU RMT / BOT, FC's with 72 RMT all online 24/7 and SE just let this roll with no action taken, day after day, week after week. While genuine players get the shaft because of this RMT epidemic.

Personally I'm not too affected by RMT bots, I'm completely used to them on Odin. Sure it would be a better world without them, but eh. As soon as Omega opens for transfer, there will be a new, fresh wave of people transferring and eventually the economy will balance.
I saw Louisox locked during peak hours for the first time a few days ago and I'm hoping that Louisox will get locked for transfers soon if people keep flooding there and they'll see that Omega is nowhere near as cluttered anymore.
Or maybe they are waiting for the 4.2 housing to be out and distributed so that the people who didn't get a house in Shirogane won't complain about the "new people transferring in and snagging their houses, Yoshi pls fix".

We thought the same when it came to 4.1..
Hard to tell if the housing crisis made them forget or if they never planned to in the first place.
When it comes to Louisoix though, I feel like it might actually be a switch of predicaments for it and Omega.
Omega is slowly dying and Louisoix is thriving.
I'm sure their population compared to Omega's will be level or potentially more in the next census check.
Almost feels like they're waiting for a certain number. :/

At the time they stopped transfers Omega was filling up very rapidly. It was apparently getting close to being declared congested, so they blocked transfers before that happened.
At that time Omega was still considered a "New" world, so there were extra incentives for transferring there as well as for making characters there.

So the stopping of transfers made sense. The real question is why Omega has not been reopened since?
It is no longer a "New" world, so no extra incentives for moving there. I can of course not be sure, but it does not seem busier than the other worlds in the Chaos data centre.

Welp... They've just opened Gilgamesh for transfers at least, just checked that. Hopefully they'll open Omega soon, because that sorta stings a bit, I mean I'm pretty sure Gilgamesh still has more players than Omega does.
