I've never unsynced content for my first clear of anything and dont really understand the draw of it. I think it being in the game lowers the skill level of the player base at large and provides a false sense of accomplishment. Further, I think it is largely the reason we see large gaps of skill level between high skill vs low skill players, as well as outcries when things like MSQ Shinryu come out.

That being said, it means old content doesnt have crazy que times and bad/casual players get to take part in content they cant do otherwise. So its not going anywhere.

I dont like unsync myself , but its a small percent of people that even do current endgame content, so the number of those whom wana do old content sync is even smaller, but to those new players that come along that want to experience the whole game. Many will just go with what the norm is (unsync) just because its literally the only option available to them to do this content. I had a newbie in nn wana do sync coil, I was only mentor to offer to help him sync it and thats because I myself never was able to do coil sync and refused to do it unsync.

This is just how things go and sadly its nothing we can do about it, nothing is gona change, unsync is the norm and is here to stay and each expansion every new player will end up going from easy dungeons to doing their first ex primal and possibly getting discouraged because the challenge from dungeon to primal is pretty significant. The only way this would change is if the player base decided to do content sync which thats not gona happen so just one of those things people have to deal with.

Unsynced has ZERO to do with that. All of those things (skill and cries for nerfs) existed before unsynced was even thought of.

You dont think fudging mechanics or eating them altogether and living and being rewarded for it doesn't exacerbate this?

Depending on how many people you are and how old the content is, even unsynch it can still kill you. And its not like people need to be truly good to do it synch. Have a good group of 7 people and the last person who is new can just be death the whole encounter and still win it. So they might have done it synch but still did not learn a thing.

I agree that there are instances where you can be carried in synced content. However, that is not the norm and shouldn't be treated as such for the sake of discussion. If you clear content synced, you are more likely to have a better understanding of a fight and be better at fights in the future. That is not an inflammatory comment. That is not saying unsynced shouldn't exist. Its just an advantage of doing content when it is relevant or replicating that to the best of your ability after the fact.
