there are 12 wards and 12 sub-wards on each of the 4 housing districts. in each ward and subward of every housing district is one apartment building. (12 + 12) x 4 = 96. so there are 96 apartment buildings in the game. each apartment building can hold up to 90 apartments. 96 x 90 = 8640. so there are 8640 apartments on every server.

There are precisely ZERO companies that have done, or would do, what SE has for this game. Fans of Final Fantasy have Been loyal to the franchise for decades. 3 Simple Steps to Solve Your Problem:

1. Find a Free Company with a house. Should be easy enough, there are always FCs looking to recruit, even with houses.
2. Join that FC. Again, should be easy enough.
3. Buy an FC room for 300k.

Subsequently, there may be a couple of other steps, both optional and possibly impossible for you:

I suggest you prolly should read up a bit before posting things like these that makes you look... well, how they made you look.

Each city has up to several wards and subdivisions and EACH of the ward has its own apartment building. And each apartment building has rooms for 500k. You can own only one, yes, but unless your server is super populated, I am sure you can find at least one free apartment in one of 4 districts there are. People here already did the math, so just give it a go.

Or, as already suggested, get a room in FC, if it has house, for 300k.

So after coming back to play stormblood and having to slog through tons of pre questing just to even see stormblood, I am told that apartments were added at some point when I wasn't paying attention. And at only 500k a pop..I was on my over for finally a place to use all my stored furnishings and such.

Wait nope scratch that... despite apartments being totally instance, squaresoft hates us and only has 100 apartments per company, on a server with many thousands of people.
