So after coming back to play stormblood and having to slog through tons of pre questing just to even see stormblood, I am told that apartments were added at some point when I wasn't paying attention. And at only 500k a pop..I was on my over for finally a place to use all my stored furnishings and such.

Wait nope scratch that... despite apartments being totally instance, squaresoft hates us and only has 100 apartments per company, on a server with many thousands of people.

There is no other excuse except that squaresoft hates its user base and loves to watch them suffer, that BS like this happens.

Each ward has more apartments. Did you check more than one ward? Wasn't sure from reading your post because you said 100 per company; not sure what you meant by company.

There is only one apartment ward. and company = city...I used company because a requirement to buy an apt was ranking in that cities company. Unfortunately I am only leveled into one company. Vivi, yea no. Knowing every single apology post square puts out is not a requirement for anything. I was actually told that in chat when I brought it up but a) this has been an issue for how long? and b) no one knows when it will be fixed. Saying it will be fixed in the future at some non dated patch does nothing.

Ummm... You don't need to be leveled in multiple GC's in order to access all the housing. At all. You can freely buy from any ward regardless if it's a house or apartment, otherwise Shirogane apartments wouldn't be a thing and my friend who is only ranked in the Flames wouldn't have a Lavender Bed's apartment. Nor would I have been given the option to buy up some apartments in the Goblet back during the latest housing push before I decided to just stick to my own in Shirogane.

1) each ward has its own apartment building, including each subdivision. So at minimum there are 12 wards x 4 housing zones x number of apartments in a building x 2 subdivisions apartments

2) You GC of choice doesn't limit where you can live. Being high enough rank in any GC gives you access to live in the other city wards as well. The only other limitation is being far enough in MSQ to have access to each housing area.

No. There is apartments in every single ward AND subdivision. And like everyone above me said... you can buy an apartment in any ward you want you don't have to be in Adder to buy in Lav beds. You don't have to be in Maelstrom to buy in Mist. You don't have to be in Flames to be in Goblet. And Obviously there is no GC for Kugane.

Also already mentioned OP: Apartments are IDENTICAL to FC rooms. So if the Apartments are truly 100% full on in everyward and subdivision your server you can buy an FC room for a lower price than an apartment.

I hate our housing system and it sucks but please look up information before coming here to flame/rage for your own lack of knowledge.

Well maybe you should consider reading all the information and pay attention a bit more. If you did you would know that SE apologized for the lack of houses and will be adding more wards in 4.2. Along with more wards also means more apartments. You will get your chance, just have to be patient a little longer.

Each ward has it's own apartment block with apartments in it. But I can see how every apartment in every ward might be bought up if your server is particularly active

You only have to be levelled in one grand company to purchase a plot/apartment in any district.

And unless your sever is overpopulated there's a high chance of many apartments still being available. Each ward and subdivision has their own. About 8,640 in all 4 districts.

You are completly and utterly missinformed about this - so stop throwing a temper tantrum and inform yourself first!

1) Your Grand Company doesnt matter when it comes to buying houses and apartments - you can buy one anywhere you like, given that your rank is high enough
2) There are 180 appartments per ward (90 for each division) - that makes 2160 appartments in each housing district and 8640 appartments total.
3) You buy the appartment at the appartment-complex in each district - so you might have to go around a bit and check all wards and subdivisions to find an open one!

One last thing you should know: appartments are basically the rooms you can get for yourself at an FC-house without having to be in and FC (that owns a house).
