    While poor PC hardware can contribute (not the main cause) to lag/d/c issues, given the equipment nowadays for PC's and the low bar FFXIV has for hardware, I wouldn't think that would be an issue.

    Don't expect it to be unlocked....EVER. Hence the transfer incentives.
    That's just it though, many people play on below minimum spec laptops or non gaming desktops that run between 15-20 fps in non populated zones.

    My husband plays on a below spec PC and we do not have the issues you describe. Also a PS3 which I'm pretty sure is even worse than the worst laptop/desktop combo. That was a miserable time. But we didn't D/C. Sure we may have ate AOE pizza for days....
