Exactly, it was a joke made by one of the artists and was never intended to be added to the game as a mount. Yoshi specifically mentioned it as so. To say nothing of it not even fitting FFXIV's setting.

Unless translation were fcked up at that time, my impression was more like "We tested it and it felt really slow and underwhelming, we couldn't get the right feeling for speed on it"

the thing is now we got increased mountspeed, and if you put the model closer to the ground it will feel even faster. So eventhough I am not so hyped about it, I guess the question about it is still legit.

Maybe they're waiting for the FF7 remake, as someone else suggested? It'd be a waste not to use it, considering it's been fully created and animated (>_<) I personally would love to have it in-game, and I don't think it'd go against the lore. We do have several other technological mounts, after all. I don't see what difference this could make when compared with a Garlean airship.

If anything it will be on Mogstation rather than a free in-game mount.

Or it will be a new veteran reward for being subbed 6+ months in a row or heck probably 12 months in a row.

Sure, add it to Mogstation....$200 for it.

6-12 months subbed is NOTHING. 6-12 YEARS okay...but even then you need to do a 15 week long quest to do it. And answer questions from EVERY cutscene in the quest chain in the final step so you can't skip it. Yes I'm trying to make it impossible to get since even Yoshi said he regrets having shown that picture since it will never be added.

Also, really the bike couldn't even appear in Eorzea anyway as it's technically destroyed towards the end of Dirge of Cerberus, but I think most players would ignore that anyway.
