But it's not the servers. I've had a few problems the last few days, but nothing that warrents a full week of compensation. If SE gave everyone a full week of credit, that would be a bit much. Have some suffered outright for a week? Yes. But most have only had mild or intermittant troubles. And this would all be goodwill by SE as the troubles are not their fault.
