I see your point. The fact is that maybe a full party of L30 people who want to do a Monster Arena in Gauntlet mode might encounter Dodore and have their virgin eyes cut by half (I didn't use the word ass because it would've been too offensive.)

second the last option 45+ I d like it to be 50+, in this case the 50s dont have to right with 47 mobs, but the NM at the end game will be 55+ Of course there's not a limit on that, bring up as many difficulty levels as you can!

the CON I see in this idea is:

there is no lvl limit, I dont want any lvl 50 to sign up for 25+ to solo NM and farm reward, even when the reward is only gil.
Hmm... kinda don't get it. If you don't want level limit but don't want L50 people doing L25+ fights, then how can we solve this?
How about placing a minimum and a maximum level? Like L20-30 for Low, L30-40 for Medium and L40-50 for High-level NMs.

I am against the idea with rare wep and armor for this as I dont want the idea to become a item farm fest, but instead there should be at gil, seal and list of the best time or damage total, or total kill for example so ppl can have some competion, that ll be a better idea and suit for Arena imo.
That's one thing I'm against too. There must not be any rare/epics, but armors and weapons that can be crafted (like a Cobalt Longsword, a Round Shield, a Leather Jacket,...). Also supporting the idea of reviewing the statistics for better rewards.

    and here is the question:

the concept about NM, will it be arena exclusive NM or the NM around the world ?
I say, take the NMs around the world. It might be a chance to know better some free-roaming NMs for when you want to fight them in their places.
The thing about this is that you can fight the NMs in the arena, but you don't receive their loot, so you don't have any chance to drop any rare weapon/armor. You still have to hunt them in their places to get those.

Maybe have monster cross breeding to fight against a hybrid super monster.

I'm wondering what a Chimera cross-breed would look like >.>

I am afraid that I am against the capture NM around the world. I know that the NM around the world are similar look to the mobs around with different stats and ability but I do not wish to ruin their unique, the same reason I am against primal mount or pet. So I suggest the Arena need to have different NM with arena exclusive skill and stats

    I see your point.
What about a mix of the two? Obviously, not a random selection of the roaming NMs, but just the highlighted and iconic ones, like Kokoroon Quickfingers, Bomb Baron and Cactuar Jack, then the Arena will have Big Fat Vegan (Goobbue), Tentahen (Malboro, see what I did there? =D), Crahout (Apkallu), and so many of them.

Technical I do not want or wish to see a mob in arena with name like Kokoroon Quickfingers and those like that in arena, because I believe the NMs in FFXIV is 1 and only just like the primal, so as long those are untouched, I am will not have anything against

Yeah, but they surely have to have something cool looking, or else it's like fighting some monster.

    Here comes the boss! Goobbue.

    whoo.

    Here comes the boss! Dundlepants.

    KILL DUNDLEPANTS!

In my POV it looks better to have a monster with a different name as a "boss" or an NM as the last fight. You're right though. It's not that Kokoroon Quickfingers has many brothers called like that. What could be good are notorious monsters which are multiple. So if I take a Dundlepants, there might be other Goobbue called Dundlepants which can be sent into the arena.

    Hope I catched that =)

This could be a fun idea, also yes to blitzball and LL could be a decent place to have it, I already have the background lore

The Grand companies or Eorzea managed to infitrate Garlemald, and found some blueprints for what looked like a huge bomb, so they took them and all information they could find, upon closer inspection it was found that the blueprints were actually for a huge sphere full of water, and enclosed were the rules of Blitzball.

I know actually kinda lame, but its a start to what they could do, because Garlemald is the most technical city it could work kinda well and tie into the current lore, and a sphere-pool could look a lil like a bomb the garleans would use to destroy us, because the almighty uldah is proving too tough for the garleans
