Alot of "I'm-better-player-than-you" here people need to ask to SE solve things and not fight between players just cause they think it's noobness issue and not a server issue... which they(SE) have clearly accepted this as issue that need to be fixed.

Yeah okay let's make what, in practice, is a ludicrously easy battle even easier.

Let's compromise. When the server is fixed in version 2 or whenever they decide to do it, they decrease the time available to escape from cracks and plumes or whatever else exists in other fights. That way, people don't need to complain about lag anymore, but are still going to get their butts kicked if they're not on the ball like they should be.

Again, I have lag, I am probably one of the most laggiest players in this entire thread. Like I said, 8 FPS at times with a really crappy university connection. I rarely get hit by the cracks and plumes. If I can do it, anyone here can do it. By saying that, I'm not boasting about "how much better I am", I am saying that you guys need to stop relying on your faults to make things easier for you, grow some confidence, practice, and learn how to do it properly.

Hmmm, you in the UK and what University are you at? I was at Sunderland Uni and thier net was decent, in my free time I would pop to the library and play some FFXIV and thier net connection would be decent and I barely got any latency from that end, your uni needs to suck less, seeing as thats whats being thrown around in this thread.

I am in Canada. Japan is pretty much on the complete opposite side of the world for me. So not only am I farthest away from their servers, I am on an internet connection that is constantly being leeched, and I am playing on a laptop with low FPS. The lag complaints here are no excuse. I am doing perfectly fine on Ifrit, because I know what to do. It is time other people start learning what to do instead of wasting their time wishing for things to be easier.

Don't get me wrong, I am totally for improving servers and decreasing lag, but I don't want that to make the battle easier. If they do that, they should make the fight more difficult.

We arent asking for them to make fights easier, we are asking for alternative ways to make fights in 1.20, 1.21, 1.22 and 1.23 a challange, there are plenty of ways to do it while taking the current latency into account, while I do prefer fights that you are moving around rather than the old tank and spank, right now with the latency the formor is harder to implement well, what about dark moogle has an attack that you have to move off a danger area, once you see the danger area you have half a sec to move, that for example would be impossible with the current servers because the danger zone would blow up before you see it, thats a more extreme example and I know that on ifrit there is alot more margin for error. Its just an example of what the devs could do and with decent servers but right now it would be impossible to do.
