They all ready do that. Its called the Account option #2 where you can have up to 8 Characters as opposed to account option #1 where you are only allowed 1 Character.....

You didn't read my post properly, I was talking about adding a new option for buying additional house plots, not the already existing purchase extra retainer option. I only referred to it in that context as to make additional house plots a scarce resource like they already did with retainers.

Oh i read it. I was just saying in order to own more then 1 house you all ready have to pay extra..If you have the basic account you can only own 1 house, cause you only get 1 character. you have to pay extra to have 8 characters in order to own more houses.

The main problem is the supply. people really should get off this so n so owns more then 1 and get on the WTF SE you have 7500 active players on a server and only 2,880 houses thats not even counting Fcs, (keep in mind your active character counts count all 8 of my characters). SE needs to "Man Up" and realse a crap ton more houses no more excuses they have the money.

Seems to me the flippers should be getting alot more hate then the rp people who own multi houses. Flippers are easy to kill make a annoucment stated in 4.2 houses once the land is released will go on a random timer between 1-7 days before the land is put back on the market......watch the house flippers lose there mind and the reddit post happen in tons with prices droping every day till patch.....Like ive been saying if flippers can not guarantee the seller would get the house..No one would buy from them....

House flippers are the only tip of the iceberg as far as housing issues go.

On every housing release, you've also had people using bots and/or even warp hacks to secure a house, often multiple (Thanks to multi-boxing).

I can only dream they'll do something to curb the rampant cheating before 4.2 drops.

Customizable Inn Rooms Client side would have solved a lot of issues. Most players just want a place to 'come back to'. To hit a bed, hit sleep and be logged off and log in the same place (as opposed to being booted out into the main section of Apartments) It'd be really nice if people had that sort of option.

Of course, people would still want Apartments/housing to share with their friends Server-Side, but the option of being able to decorate an inn room however you desire client-side would solve most of these issues without even impacting any server stability.

Adding rent would really do nothing to help the housing issues in the game. If anything, it would just screw over people that already blew their money on getting a house in the 1st place and would more than likely destroy the housing market as a whole, since personal houses are almost entirely just vanity items with very minor uses, all of which can be gotten within any capital city.

FC houses, while in theory could pay for their houses with contributions from everyone, would realistically fall apart as people would argue about contributions towards the house, which outside of the workshop, are again just a vanity item.

In the end, housing becomes locked off for everyone that DOESN'T use gil sellers as it just becomes not worth owning a house due to the cost alone.

Im on the fence about tax/rent for houses... But this statement is complete BS. All you need to do is craft or gather and you can make gil super easy.. the 320 hq gear is so easy to make this round im over 500mil since sept maybe aug and by over way over. As long as you put in the work and keep stocked retainers selling gil is super easy to make no need to use gil sellers at all

Not to mention most end game gathering items are over 1k each takes 15 mins to get a stack of 99..... Add in the gathering books for leg spawns and sands you can make gil easy in either crafting of gathering

I'm really curious about what is planned for 4.2 housing. I have a small house but have been thinking about relinquishing the plot. I used to have a few very social free company neighbours but they have since moved to shirogane and it now just seems very empty for me. with the new fake windows ive managed to make a pretty nice apartment in lilly hills and probably spend more time there now. I hope they change the rules of relinquishing land as I dont want to wait 45 days to get some of the gil I put into my house back.

They do need to change some thing when letting a land go..cause right now there is no 45 day timer its shut off till they decide to turn it back on
