I am all for removing these from the game altogether, they really don't serve a purpose other than a gil sink. They should go the way of carbonized matter!Can we have some recipes not include these two crystals? Please? For the love of God, please? Almost every recipe I craft on a daily basis needs either or both of these. The only saving grace is that I use less wind crystals than lightning but still! I go through thousands both of these a day. I farm them almost every time their ephem nodes are up (in both HW and SB) yet I still need to buy them. And everyone else on my server has this problem too, it seems. Lightning crystals can go up as high as 900+g for one on my server. =.=
SE, please, please hear my plea! I want to do something other than crystal farming. Q.Q I hear there's this thing called the outside world. It sounds lovely. I want to see it one day.
I do a lot of wvr, carp, and ltw. Of the three, I do wvr most often. The pieces don't seem to take a lot of crystals if you look at them at face value, but if you actually add them all up, they require an insane amount for each item. I mean, we're talking 96 lightning crystals and 5 wind/earth crystals for the 290 crafter shirt. Nothing should take more than 100 crystals to craft from start to finish. I'm sorry but that's just way too much. Or, if SE insists on having us use that many crystals, then spread them out more evenly. Don't have the major ones all take the same type crystal.
Or they should make them more reasonable, at the very least. Or give us better options to get them. The diadem was nice but no one on my server goes there (and my FC doesn't go there either.) So you're stuck with ephem nodes or the MB. Or they should let us break down the clusters for the crystals (and the same for the shards.)
These three, plus crp's main one is wind, and alc second is lighting.
Basically there is a large unbalance (specifically when looking at script farming) of crystal usage. There are 3 classes that do not use wind or lighting generally directly, they are BSM, ARM and CUL. This issue, is that anything that is a scrip turn in for BSM and ARM requires at least (and most cases more) then one item from crp, gsm, wsr, ltw or alc.
CUL would be the only class that gets away without using the crystal even indirectly, but for that you take a large hit on your potential scrips per craft.
TLDR: since they made script crafting uncapped, and then required a large amount of yellow script farming, they never considered the impact on demand for crystals.


This. I'd actually level my other crafting classes more if I wasn't hunting for crystals all the time when the mb becomes a bit bare....
