Yeah, I'm not anti-improvement, just anti-homogenisation.

More faces? Yeah!
Separate horns/markings? Sure, makes sense.
More muscle sliders? Eh, fine. I'd also like more scar options for everyone!
Half-Elezen that look like Midlanders with pointy ears and their own traits? I wouldn't play one but why not, it would be cheap to do.
Elezen with Hyur proportions and big heads? No.
Insulting people who play the actual Elezen by repeatedly insinuating that they are ugly? No. This is bad.

Say, hypothetically, that they released the 'cute Elezen' archetype everyone supposedly wants, with a more conventional aesthetic. Overnight there'd be loads of Legolas clones everywhere, and those of us who play the 'classic Elezen' as the creators intended will suddenly go from 'people playing an unusual race' to 'people playing an unusual race and voluntarily choosing to look ugly' in the minds of the vocal minority of people who hate unconventional looks. These 'cute Elezen' would make all of the existing Elezen NPCs look weird in comparison.

S-E deliberately didn't call them elves, because they're not elves. They're not 'disproportionate', because they conform precisely to the proportions of Elezen within the game's world, which is the only place that Elezen exist at all (promotional art is seldom accurate for this series). We don't care about how there'd be more Elezen if we lost our unique proportions because as far as I know none of us receive secret financial incentives for attracting other players to make characters like ours. This is a non-problem.

Can we go back to improving the character creator for everyone instead of trying to promote virtual genocide on people with a different sense of attractiveness to the mainstream? There are five other races to choose from, you don't all have to be Elezen!

Something different I'd like to see for character customisation is more control over emote animations - so you can set your character's personality a bit more individually than having everyone from the same race make the exact same motions.

This is why I would loooove for them to unlock the features from specific faces. It would be a lot of fun to be able to mix and match. We'd have ~24 eye styles to choose from, 16 mouths, 4 head shapes, 20 eyebrows, etc.

I'd be in that character creator for days :X

I want more options... I avoid certain features on Au Re because everyone else has them. The need for more customization is at an all time high SE... Fix it!!

lol, excuse my incredibly sorry MSpaint skills and limited time - but yeah, just to give a (very) basic idea of some more variety that we could have by just unlocking the features currently tied to specific faces.

She's looking a bit alien atm, but alas, I have very little time. Kinda fun to play around with those. Will have to do other races later..

Eyes - face 4
Head shape - face 4
Horns - face 1
Mouth - face 3
Forehead scales - face 2
Nose - face 2
Eyebrows - mostly face 4 (with a shadow of 2 left by accident. lol)
