    That kind of statement in the agreement is written on all MMO's. A service agreement is just a cover to give all companies total power without reprieve. I do not think it would really apply to here. Just mainly telling people that virtual property is a property of said company. And I would be for removal of inactive players but the census data also pulls active subs and Balmung is over the 20k mark night after night. Heck Balmung has more level 70 bards then most servers have combined level 70 pops.

    That's why I called it the "standard protective clause". Unfortunately, just because it's everywhere doesn't mean it's invalid.

    It means that they can at any time deport any character to any realm without your consent if they want to and not just characters that transferred. They already covered themselves on that front.

    Inactive player removal honestly would be rather pointless. XIVcensus scouts inactives (via proxy of total population) regularly and Balmung usually has about the least inactive characters on the field. It wouldn't change much.

    I know many people will not agree with this. However I hope it doesn't open back up. Not until they fix the housing issue After that. then sure. Open the flood gates cause the most thing thats hurting on Balmung is the economy. Its very bad at the moment. Its laughable at the prices of some things

    I keep seeing this repeated, and I'm really curious what you consider laughable? From the perspective of a crafter what I've seen is that large servers have such a glut of other crafters that it's almost pointless to put the effort into it. Are the prices actually getting bad or are they just increasing to a norm that you're not used to?

    The markets and housing are very much a product of supply and demand. Short of making housing like Star Wars the old Republic and having the market board cross servers you will just have to deal with the differences between the servers.

    they gave them xp and gil boost. they can't return as the world is locked. But giving people house and short cuts is unfair to the player base. With housing limited already if people got a free house for moving server im pretty sure square would have more salt on this form then the ocean and it would be justified. Unfortunately the people of Balmung will just have to deal with the over population unless there willing to move themselves.

    I'm not sure what criteria they use to keep Balmung locked, but every time a major patch lands or a seasonal event opens I'm glad it's still rock-solid.
    The population might be settled down now with sub-100 queues but it can still easily explode to 4000+ given an incentive for players to log in.
    I still see people idling everywhere and RP and FC shout ads everywhere I go so seems active enough to me.

    As for "stagnant", even before the lock I served a couple months time in the Novice Network and can remember a grand total of 3 genuinely new players who talked in there.
    RMT gilbots had ruined the chance of any actual new blood from getting in for years, so whatever.

    Pretty sure he meant to guarantee a house to those who already own one on Balmung. As of right now one huge reason many on Balmung will never leave is because they have a house, have access to a house, or their FC has a house. With housing 100% full everywhere else almost as well, especially on Mateus which would be where most rpers would go anyway, you aren't going to get very many more leaving Balmung unless they are leaving the game.

    New characters got the exp. And everyone got the gil limit increase. The only true "bonus" was that the transfer was free.

    When the whole SB situation started and people transferred because of 4k queue's, I made a character on Mateus. There were people who transferred from Balmung and went, "Why didn't I get the buff?" We learned transfers didn't get it.
