You really should blame the system for being too limited for the actual amount of players, rather than people using the system as intended. :/

I have an apartment in Shiro Town and an FC Private Chamber in the Gobby. No solo house needed.
"But please. Call me Bae."
The White Witch of Okami Rojo.
I have had a small personal house in lavender bed for over 2 years now.
I go to it every time I log in, I craft there, I use all of my house features regularly, and I have logged in (almost) every day since buying it, I also share it with my boyfriend and he spends all of his in-game time not in instance there.
Yes. Some people do use them. This game would be a lot worse for me if I didn't have my house. I wish everyone could have this experience.
Yes, simply because there are features locked behind housing that I actually partake in. I avidly garden and I've made my airships from scratch by myself. When I'm not out gathering materials, running an instance, or raiding, I'm at one of the featured residences. I've played nearly everyday for the last 3 years. My places are well decorated and still not completed (except De'L's since he likes his homes to actually look like something he'd own). Properties. Basically, I've worked hard for what I've wanted that the game has allowed me to do. If SE decided to unlock gardening and FC company workshop and make them their own things without being tied to a house, then I may consider letting the properties go. Until then, I have no reason to.
In case anyone's interested I just looked up the OP on Lodestone, his FC is three people!
Sorry OP but you're part of the problem here. A three person FC doesn't need a M or L house either and, regardless of size, I'd bet a house belonging to such a small FC would most likely be empty most of the time anyway.
Honestly, I'd have some sympathy for larger FCs having difficulty getting a house but a three person FC is no way anymore deserving than an individual.
Think about it, nobody wants to die, there's rules to this game son, I'm justified.
I certainly do. For a long time, I've barely done anything combat related. Most of my time is just spent crafting/gathering and doing other single-player capable things (leveling, soloing older content, Daily/weekly hunts, Beastmen quests, etc). My L house is my canvas... except the outside, because I've been too busy with other things to bother thinking about what to do with it now. I've acknowledged the possibility that it just looks like a disaster, so I wanted to one-up myself and add in the carby walls. It is a huge eye sore in its current state.I have had a small personal house in lavender bed for over 2 years now.

It's seriously questionable as to why SE has not implemented a community accessible workshop with airship voyaging access. I'd argue that's the primary (or only) advantage that personal house owners take away from FCs. Even if it were gated behind Ishgard or Kugane, it's still something.
Why should small FC's be limited to smaller housing? That is so wrong. I have 4 man Fc that I pretty much do all the work for, and I have a medium FC, and could use a large for all the furnishings I have aquired, crafting, and just because i feel I have earned it. There are 100 man FC's that never use their house, what then? This is sooooo off base.In case anyone's interested I just looked up the OP on Lodestone, his FC is three people!

Their point was that the OP acts as if individuals don't need houses or asks the loaded question of "Do individuals really NEED housing?" And they're in a FC that's so small that their house would count as an individual house, more or less. Up to three tenants + owner per personal house and they're in a 3-man FC. They're simply calling out the OP on being a hypocrite acting as if their FC deserves housing more than an individual. It's not that they're saying small FCs should be limited or don't deserve housing at all.Why should small FC's be limited to smaller housing? That is so wrong.
