If people prefer apartment, let them have it.
If people prefer medium house, let them have it.
If people prefer large house, let them have it.

If people can't have the house that they want to have, then it's on Square Enix and Yoshi P.

Why? Because no MMORPG should have had a limitations on an optional content.

I hope se implements 1 house per active subscription, per account in which they may do. Reason as to why I want an fc house while I am currently in an fc is to only add an extra chest space and double the amount of airships. I have 2 laptops,MacBook, ps4 soon to be an best gaming rig I can build again. I own currently 3 accounts. Maybe I'll get a fourth so I can farm lv 70 dungeons my self lol. I work for my fc as I have nothing else to keep things interesting.

Only thing i would like to see done to housing is separation of personal and FC housing areas, there is only few active houses around ours while rest seems to be unused most of the time.

I use my house as much, if not more than most FCs do. Many other personal house owners do the same.
In fact our FC house is barely used at all other than an easy teleport to a MBoard & summoning bell.. The FC decorating, airships and gardening are barely touched by anyone besides myself and one other member, despite all members having full access..

The truth of the matter is that many people buy houses (including FCs) just to own them. They don't decorate them, or use the facilities that they have access to. Your point isn't isolated to personal house owners - it goes to FCs as well.

People harp on about how much they "need" or want a house, yet when it comes to crunch time and they buy one - they leave it empty or scarcely decorated and barely use it over and beyond the teleport.

It's purely a case of houses being a limited resource. It increases the desire for people to own them because it's a form of exclusivity. Whether these people can actually be bothered to make use of the content is a different thing entirely.

asking if personal houses are needed is almost the same as asking if ya really need an fc house as the difference is just an airship and a bunch of small rooms sense ya can put crafting stations in a personal house as well as a company chest

I say yes in the context that without housing one would be unable to crossbreed and garden. If they separated that feature from housing I think less people would feel the need for a house.

Players don't have to justify owning a house any more than free companies do. Also the size of the house doesn't affect how many people can use it so M and L houses shouldn't be reserved for FC use only.

i just logged in and saw 80% off all houses are from single persones. why you use it? do you rly need it? do you realy use it often? or you jsut buyd it to have it? i see mostly empty houses everwhere. idk why you guys buy a M or L house only to own it. you dont even use it often. you dont need to use it. you dont even go into it often. so why you dont make space for FC's? i mean. they want house for their company. fc craft etc. and you buy it bcs you was faster. well. Square should only FC master allow go own a house for their fc. apartmens for single player.

well done to everyone wasted the chance for FC to get a house and have a place to be together. you cant even use the FC craft. you can only use it when you own a house.

No, I don't really NEED a house of my own but I do have a small house in Mist as well as a Med in Shirogane for my FC. I worked my paws to the bone crafting and selling for a very long time to be able to buy these houses.

The reason I got the small house is that a member of my FC did not want to move from Mist to Shirogane. I was also attached to the Mist house as I'd lived there for 4 years. So I bought our old fc house for myself and made that person a roomie in the personal house. My in game husband needed a house so he has moved in too. The last slot went to a good friend who joined FFXIV because I talked her into it.

I use both houses daily. I'm still decorating the small for my friends and I garden and craft in the FC house. My friends definitely use the individual house daily. Do I need it, no. Does it make my friends really happy? Yes. and that is why I have it.
