Honestly the only issue I have with 24 mans is the belts. Please, please remove the belts, especially in the older content where its collected only for glamour.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with this. Belts aren't really that useful in these raids, and getting one through tomes is easy enough.

Wouldn't mind if you could trade the weekly coins for specific pieces of gear. Say 3 for body or legs, 2 for helm/gloves/boots, 1 for belt.
Lot of us only want the gear for glamour purposes anyway and have no further need for upgrade items on the jobs we play.

Yes, since Heavensward, belts were considered accessories in a sense, by which I mean the upgrade item for the tome-bought ones are the same. This, in conjecture with most 24-man gear being reduced to glam and gc seal fodder (and sometimes desynth fodder) in later expansions, means that continuing to have belts in the raids now is rather superfluous. Then count in the fact that the belts are part of a pool that RNG selects from, and you're only going to aggravate people trying to get something for an alt class when the belts drop for the umpteenth time that day.
I would certainly be in favor of the belts being removed and the pools being reshifted to improve matters.
So how about: you need 10 tokens for body gear, you can only get 5 a week, and you can only get 1 a day.Your own post explains why they won't. Would you have ran 23 times had you been awarded a token after your first run? Would you have ran more than once at all that week? The whole purpose behind RNG based loot drops, as frustrating as they may be, is to ensure people continuously queue. The only alternative I could see maybe being considered is a token system similar to Primal farms-- where you can exchange a certain amount for what you want. Say twenty runs. That way you're eventually guaranteed to get it.

Oh really? You're the one who don't understand me. The only thing you respond is "bla bla, RNG, bla bla" I said I'm ok with rng. And yes, I play many MMOs, most of them are free to play so yes, I know what farm is, I know what rng is. That's why, for me, rng on FF 14 is stupid. Because of the lack of content, they put some idiot rng with bad loot table so players can farm it again and again and again without rewarding them.
That's it. An exemple:Other than NIN which was released a couple years ago, DRK, AST, MCH, SAM, RDM didn't actually inflate the loot pools other than weapons (They fixed this by having tokens for them for the really sought after weapons, all others there are alternatives for). They just added those jobs into existing sets.
You're BLM and you're doing the raid. In your team there is also a RDM and an INV... That means your chance to have a loot is lower than before stormblood.
Same with MNK and SAM.
So yes, only NIN loot is specific to their job since Heavensward (with DRG i guess) but more jobs are "sharing" their loot now and that's a problem with the actual system. Tokens are great and will less impact the fact that players will not do the content everyday than the current system which don't reward a player who run it more than 30 times.
Not really. Even before they added those jobs sometimes you would end up with 3 or 4 of the same role in the same group anyway. (Sometimes people leave immediately when they see their group has multiple competition, this was before even HW was released) I will admit that dps gets screwed if they end up with a lot of the same jobs but you can bypass this by doing a premade. One of the problems is when the raid is new, no one has a lot of the gear yet, by week 3-4 even if you have say 3 red mages in the group, it's possible some of them might already have what you want on them (so if the other two rdms are wearing the body you win by default if they stay the entire run and it drops), which means they can't roll on it, lowering the competition even if it is the same job. You're BLM and you're doing the raid. This said, what's the point of doing the raid the first 2 or 3 weeks then ? No need to pay a sub when there is new content if i can't loot anything, don't you think ?
My answer is silly...? Well, so is yours (no offence ^^). I mean if it's this hard to have a weekly loot the first few weeks of a content, then YES, there is a problem with the loot system. Players want/need new stuff when it's new, not 3 or 4 weeks later when a newer is here.
