lol i would like some movies i don't do books. but i mean make it with summoners and just straight out bad arse final fantasy feel to it. the animated movies did not really make me feel like i was watching a final fantasy movie even if it was awesome.
In-game books would be nice but short ones in the vein of elder scrolls series. They could already put the lodestone lore as books all over the world as I and many others feel like they should be in the game. Valentines day was lame but the story behind it was cool. Those who don't read walls of text outside of the game will never know what the event is for.
Hell, I'd read out-of-game Eorzea novels. Hell, SE, commission me to write some...

write a novel for each summoner and how it was made to be a summoner. ty ..edit lol but yes please turn it into a movie after so i can watch.
Ahh, the Great Summoner Cycle... I'm pretty sure all SMN became SMN in the same manner:
Step One: Adventurer, out drop kicking leeches for Bird Blood to sell on the black market, finds a leech that coughs up a ruby instead.
Step Two: Adventuer pulls a B&E on a dead guy's house in Windurst and ends up having the dead guy's cardigan explain that he needs to go collect "the seven colors of the sky."
Step Three: Adventurer goes about his business as per usual until Carbuncle's sensed enough weather and pops out of the crystal to let you know you need him and he has some demands.
Step Four: New SMN throws ruby over shoulder and gets down to collecting the physical versions of the False Gods within the protocrystals, (made from the shards of a mother crystal shattered by the Zilart.) As power is borrowed from the crystals to summon the false gods, the true gods within (secretly slumbering within, unknown to the adventurer) grow closer to awakening - at which time they will recreate a paradise in Vana'deil in which only the Zilart gods can exist.
Step Five: Somewhere else, the discarded ruby is eaten by a leech.
Step Six: Adventurer, out drop kicking leeches for Bird Blood to sell on the black market, finds a leech that coughs up a ruby instead.

Would probably have to work a few main story missions and dynamis battles into there...

They have the novel for the movie.
SE would make a killing of me if they made some hardback issue books seriously.

If they decide to do this, pray they hire a different writer than the one who wrote the FFXI books. Those were abyssmal.
the above should not be taken seriously under any circumstances.
