Oh I'm not pretending.

I saw first hand just how badly the WoW token inflated the player market when it got introduced, because now people had a powerful incentive to spend as much time as possible gathering a veritable fortune in ingame currency, because of the ability to save real money spent on subscription. And the whole thing went south from there.

The WoW token is even part of the reason why I in the end quit the game, as it drasticly overinflated the player market, and made things almost impossible to buy unless you did serious currency grinding. Something I pray I'll never have to see happen to FF14, as I genuinely feel the only people this would benefit are those that are hardcore crafters and/or gatherers, who only do dungeon or story content outof necessity.

Just because FF14 lifted some ideas from WoW, and because WoW is generaly considered the king of MMO's, it doesnt mean everything WoW did ever is automaticly the best idea
