The Mist used to be the best

I think it still looks quite nice, but it was the best housing area until the updates in 4.1. All the areas got nice updates, while we can just... go in the water that was already there. That's it...

I think we need a bit of sprucing up as well. Maybe a giant diving board, or one of those giant inflatable things where one person is on one end, and another person jumps on the other, launching them. I don't know, make it like a beach party vibe or something. I'm short on suggestions, because I've only ever been to a beach myself like 5 times in my life.

tl;dr: The Mist got shafted in swimming update. We need cool stuff too.

"Best" is entirely subjective. There are plenty of people who preferred Lavender Beds or the Goblet prior to the 4.1 update.

Goblet and Lavender Beds got their areas updated for swimming and hanging out... Mist already had that (just with inaccessible swimming), so no update needed.

Secretly it's still my favorite housing area I guess it depends what environment you like best. Do you like inland, sea, or forest?
It's not up to the dev team to recreate what the sea looks like, the sea's beauty is natural, there's no architecture that can change it. It just is.

Your milage may vary: you can /sit on them but its your characters usual sit poses which may or may not “fit” the chair depending on your race/gender.

Well I can do the same to anything in the game I can stand on, so the answer is no you still can't properly lounge in those chairs. I'd say that means Mist still needs a little bit more work.

Lavender Beds got a decent upgrade, but it's so out of the way that the majority of plots there wouldn't even bother going. At least Mist is kind of shaped around the massive beach. And it's still the only area to have a Grade 1 mansion, I guess. But obviously the weebs will all be attracted to Shirogane, so every area will probably play 2nd to that.

If wards were to get an upgrade, it would only be fair for them all to get something, which at this point seems like a waste of resources. There's nothing wrong with the Mist for it to need something special.

But yeah, it's subjective. I still think LB is the prettiest. :'D
