The Mist used to be the best

I think it still looks quite nice, but it was the best housing area until the updates in 4.1. All the areas got nice updates, while we can just... go in the water that was already there. That's it...

I think we need a bit of sprucing up as well. Maybe a giant diving board, or one of those giant inflatable things where one person is on one end, and another person jumps on the other, launching them. I don't know, make it like a beach party vibe or something. I'm short on suggestions, because I've only ever been to a beach myself like 5 times in my life.

tl;dr: The Mist got shafted in swimming update. We need cool stuff too.

"Best" is entirely subjective. There are plenty of people who preferred Lavender Beds or the Goblet prior to the 4.1 update.

I've been in the Goblet since personal housing started. It was great because so many plots used to be open, thanks to people not liking the area and prices being much more expensive for housing back then

I have since relocated twice. Once to a medium and then a year ago back to a small; a small that just so happens to overlook the new pool area! When the latest update hit I was very, very, very pleasantly surprised.

I kinda wish they'd update the rest of the Goblet to match the next textures though, if I had to make any complaint. The new swimming area is RIDICULOUSLY pretty while the rest of the Goblet is... Kinda bland? Just throwing some of those gorgeous new tiles around and updating a few textures would complete the look for me, as I now rarely want to leave the swimming area.

Secretly it's still my favorite housing area I guess it depends what environment you like best. Do you like inland, sea, or forest?
It's not up to the dev team to recreate what the sea looks like, the sea's beauty is natural, there's no architecture that can change it. It just is.

Your milage may vary: you can /sit on them but its your characters usual sit poses which may or may not “fit” the chair depending on your race/gender.

Well I can do the same to anything in the game I can stand on, so the answer is no you still can't properly lounge in those chairs. I'd say that means Mist still needs a little bit more work.
