The original post is a little confusing because he said they tried to log in, which triggered the lockout (which is completely normal if you don't use one time passwords). So... they should remember the account name and password, at least. But then the next part of that paragraph does kind of read like they don't...
It's also odd to me that she apparently has several emails but either won't check them or can't remember the logins to them. So... yeah, for important stuff, don't use throwaway emails. Among other things, account recovery becomes a lot harder.
