they didn't all get released at the same time. last time i logged in i only had 2 of the 4 rewards....out of order. I got 1 and 3. Some people have gotten the rest now supposedly. You might want to try hitting the request mail button on the top right in the mail interface to see if it's there. Or give it a day or so.
Or actually they could reward players every three months with a free Fantasia. Don't need to try to invent new items on the part of the devs. As far as impact to the Mog Shop, I don't think it would be that noticeable. When folks want to change, three months is a long time to wait.Even though I just got my Leonheart Coat and enjoyed the status glamour I'm happy to admit that almost 4 years is a ridiculous requirement. I don't think the changes are a big deal.
However! Can we maybe just get that Fantasia for everyone? It helps out new players who completed the 2.0 MSQ before their free time ended (who, as far as I can tell, straight up won't get one now), and it's a nice bonus for your longer term subscribers in the face of the reduced rewards.
Ahh okay I literally started panicking when I saw that lol thought it was a mistake.....well in a way it is but I really want to thank you for the info as I I'm am grateful to so thank you.they didn't all get released at the same time. last time i logged in i only had 2 of the 4 rewards....out of order. Just wanted to say thanks for the tip, hit the request mail button on my mailbox and received the Leonhart attire immediately. Was the last tier I needed and was patiently waiting since yesterday.they didn't all get released at the same time. last time i logged in i only had 2 of the 4 rewards....out of order. I got 1 and 3. Yeah, I had to do that on every one of my alts to get the sleipnir mount after i gave in and bought it on sale.
It is far worse than a slap in the face. It also includes a kick to the nuts and spitting at us. They are trying to bring in new players left and right and completely abandoning the actual vets who have subbed 1k+ days. "Here new people you too can now have their special items to not feel left out" I mean they gave the leonheart stuff out at 330 days and added NOTHING ELSE. We all hoped the achievement point spending would be something but it was just a way for the nubs to buy the vet rewards they removed. Between the vet rewards, jump potions, and the rest SE seems to be trying to drive away their long time subbers. What will they do when those of us that have subbed 1200+ days just up and unsub?
Now that the system is the way it is, and I've had more than enough time to evaluate, I will say this:
If someone were to start out brand new, and they wanted one of each of everything (including BOTH Cascade Vouchers instead of just one as listed), then they would need to save up enough achievement points to be rewarded with 127 certificates. At a rate of one certificate per 50 points, that comes out to 6350 points to nab everything that isn't an outfit.
I know that I have far more than that amount over the last three years of playing on and off, but I'm a low-to-mid key achievement hunter. In another topic where someone decided to argue with me when I expressed a concern with the wording in the Patch Notes about this system--let's not even get into that--I surmised and threw out that, in the time it used to take for us to get the Firion minion (the last non-outfit reward) via Vet Rewards, it might take the average player just as long to reach around 6,000 achievement points, and I imagined SE would try to calculate something similar in regards to how long the average player would take to save up for those items.
Basically, little has changed for the average player or achievement hunters. Instead of waiting for something to come in the mail that you may or may not want, and in the order listed by SE, you gain achievements and obtain those rewards in the order of your choosing. Also, instead of going to the mail, which can be accessed in the vast majority of FFXIV's zones, you now have to go to Old Gridania, talk to the achievement rewards guy once for your certificates and again to trade in the certificates. So that much might be less convenient for most of us, and unfortunate to those who don't really earn 6k worth of achievements in a couple years of sub time, but the amount of time elapsed is likely, ON AVERAGE, going to be the same.
Don't get me wrong in this. It still feels a bit like the rug was swept out from underneath me when I was practically walking one last stretch of red carpet to the final reward I gave any number of hoots about, then the jackass ran over to me with the item I wanted, 210 Monopoly dollars, and asked me to buy that item off his hands for two of those dollars. However, the experience gave me an opportunity to laugh in that same jackass's face and leave the whole thing behind me, that final item in hand.
It's really not terrible. Not ideal, and possibly a little disrespectful, but not game ending. For the average person coming into the game? They might think this process rather dumb and time consuming (and they're right), but hey here's these items we were basically getting for free anyways.
Way to defeat the purpose with your own new system, Team Yoshi. lol

I was 30 days from the Leonhart attire, and this allowed me to get it a month early so...I can't really complain. I get what you and others are saying, I just don't see it as too big of a deal. This is just my view on things though. If they add more items to purchase with achievement points I'm gonna have one heck of a head start.Don't get me wrong in this.
