One man Dungeon .. or whatever "Soloable" quest

I've been thinking of this idea...
why they don't add anything with solo to challenge your skills and by finishing it ppl will know that you understand and know how to play in your specific class,,, in reward you get a unique ex/rare items as a proof,,,

Solo content is boring /yawn. imo

I don't play MMO to play S O L O

But it looks like YOU =/= everyone.

Some people love MMO and love to solo. people need to understand this.

OT: any idea to to add content to the game is awesome IMO. Sounds cool.

There are alot of soloable quest honestly... I believe almost all of them are atm honestly. AS well as all the leves.

Issue with a solo dungeons I see is balance, some classes will just be far better then others in it. So for some classes it will be a joke to beat others it will be nightmarishly hard.

That and Solo play does not show people you know your class in my opinion. It proves you can solo effectively, but in a group setting most those skills are usually worthless. In group situations the focus is working together balancing hate with dmg/cures apposed to knowing what to do alone which simply involves knowing what to do to survive longer then the opponent.

if the item is fashion rare = yes, rare and useful = no

id like to be able to get ifrit like weapons without relying on 7 other humans who i do not know. what are friends... lets not get ridiculous here.

The only way I see this as being possible is to solo Ifrit. Solution buy 7 more accounts and 7 more computers. keep them as mules and use them to enter instances with you.

My point is that i dont have to wait for full group... or you wipe because of someone's else mistake ..
MMO doesnt mean you ALWAYS play with others...

quests and leves are very easy... what i was talking about something challanging,,, and you get one piece which is unique to this specific event..

and when i say challenging doesnt mean for noobs... its relaying on your skills and the abilities you got through your playing

I like this idea. I always liked the idea of having items for people who have proven themselves as capable paragons of their classes, the item in question being exclusive to that class. FFXI had two examples of this, one being an ENM called "Pulling the Strings" that dropped rare/ex job exclusive enchanted items (except PUP, where it dropped attachments), and the other one being Maat (and the corresponding LB5 fights for ToAU and WotG jobs), which you had to do at least once for level 75, and doing all 15 of the mainland job fights got you a cap to prove you've done it.

By the way, to people complaining about "FFXIV offline" and such, there's a reason for such content to be soloable. It means you need to be strong enough on your own merit to do it. You can't just get a bunch of more competent people together and half-ass it. By being forced to do it solo, you prove you have what it takes. Just because an MMO is online, doesn't mean it can't have ANY solo content.
