Ok let me start by saying thank you to all the hard working devs at SE!! I rely appreciate all the hard work that is going into a game and series i will always love.

Now my question is when will the goobbue mount be available? The Goobbue has always been my fav mob in the ffxiv game and i have always wanted one, so when i saw the mount is going to be available to us i about fell out of my chair. I noticed it was going to be a special thank you for playing thru till 2.0 comes out so i guess im hoping we will be able to get one before than??

Correction, "might" be available. The Goobue, drake and Ahriman mounts are test designs they are floating as possibilities as well as colored chocobos and others; but none of them are for certain. When the "7th Umbral Era" world event gets closer, they said they would be closer to deciding what design they like the most.

They have to fit it with the storyline in the ul'dah starting you saw how crazy the goobue got it be dumb if you can just use it as a mount without some backbone in the storyline would feel weird and not right within the game.

hope SE come up with a great reason why there other mount now.

they said the mounts were tests to see what they can accomplish with different types of models. they never said wed get any of the ones they showed.

i personally thought it looked ridiculous when they showed the person riding a three story tall Gobbue.
if by chance they are released as mounts i would not voice my hatred for you for choosing that as your mount so ride away!

/pray they decide to use the goobbue hehe, well im a bit sad to hear they are only considering it as a mount i guess so much in the game isnt finalized it makes sense. I could see people rely liking the mount and i could see people rely disliking it, perhaps they will come out with several and give us a choice?? Ima keep a positive attitude about it and hope one day i get to ride a goobbue ^^

Yeah there just experimenting to see what is possible with mounts right now to be fair I dont think they will have the gobbue, the drake would work though.

Well according to the recently released subtitled producer letter II they did say that the ahriman and drake were tests. But the goobbue seemed to be something that they want to get in. It was also the only of the three to have a actual in game screen shot.
