Indeed! But saying you'd rather have playable content instead of a butt is a little silly, as they are not mutually exclusive. Sleipnir is finally going to fly in 4.1. Im sure theres quite a lot people out there who don't care (including myself) but Im not upset that time was spent on it.

That's kinda where things took a wrong turn. Then it turned into something about being demeaning and oversexualizing in-game characters just because people want a butt slider. I've said repeatedly that it's not something I NEED yesterday. More customization in general is what I want, and this would just provide another option for people to utilize. There's nothing wrong with it. At all.

Basically exactly what I'm trying to say, too. Will I be angry if they never address the butts? Nah. Would I like if they did? Yes. Are butts my main concern? Definitely not. Actually, my biggest wishlist item would be more face options and I also wish miqote could have different ear options similar to elezen and lalafell.

I'll support basically any thread asking for customization on any front. Unless of course they want something that will be incredibly distracting. I don't want unrealistic proportions to be available, for example. But outside of that, I support all customization!

As a straight woman who is also in favor of this (and customization in general) I can say not everyone wants this just so they can oogle a butt.

Honestly, not to start a 'pity me' thing, I used to be super insecure about having a bigger butt/hips. I get that this is just a video game but I spend a fair amount of time playing this game and further shoving this tinybutt ideal in my face isn't exactly super pleasant. I actually fantasia'd into a male character for a while but it felt weird so I'm back just wearing a lot of flowly coats and dresses to obscure Moro's lack-of-junk-in-her-trunk.

This isn't just about people who want to objectify their characters (though imo those people are fine too, it's a video game, hold your horses there Sarkeisian) but lots of girls play this game and very few of us could ever have the butt that's in there.

Nah, you're missing the point and derailing the thread. What I like to see in game (or anyone for that matter) is irrelevant to whatever RL connection you're trying to make and is, frankly, none of your business. You're making this about something it's...not. I want my CHARACTER to look a certain way, this has nothing to do with what people like IRL...and for me it's not really about the butt slider, just part of the discussion. I've stated my point several times and have no ill intent behind any of it.

I understand where you're coming from. I'm sure no one intended to hurt anyone's feelings; at least I know I didn't. But the young'n's just need to learn that people are attracted to different things and that's okay, that's all. (But also, this isn't necessarily about being attractive or not anyway). They shouldn't let it hurt their feelings and in fact, they would see that there are some people who favor a smaller rump when they run into someone who CHOSE to have one. I have a small chest as I mentioned so I know the feeling all too well - everyone always says how a large one is more desired. But I see a lot of people who chose smaller chests in this game. Not that I really need validation at this point in my life, but it makes me happy to see that there are plenty of people who choose a smaller bust. If the bust couldn't be adjusted, I may not have realized that anyone would have picked a smaller one, given the chance.

Oh. Those images. Last time I actually looked into this, their forms were the same. The main difference being a slight downgrade in graphics so a wider audience could play (like PS3 users). Seriously - go overlap the images and actually make the models the same size (the one used for ARR is also slightly smaller). It also really does not help that the poses are not the same exact pose. Similar, but that does change how the skeleton works.

Also, I'd think by now people know I'm pro- hip slider and even bust slider. I like having a curvy character and not so much this very lithe character with oddly long limb proportions.Well, stylized proportions.

as I said though, the only way you would notice it being flat is if your wearing skimpy outfits?

I wore plenty of non-skimpy outfits in 1.0 (and I still don't wear them now) and I could immediately tell the difference. It's a very noticeable thing.

The real question here is why you're looking at your character's rear in the first place... =.=

They're usually looking away from the camera are they not?
