My au ra dude has massive thighs but the butt attached to them is hank hill tier. If you like small butts, congrats! Enjoy the base model. I would like my lizard to have a fuller posterior. imo, crying about character butts being sexualized is moot in a game where my miqo has only ever gotten an itty bitty skirt or pair of panties for WHM gear.

I actually have the weird hope that next expansion will add sliders for both face and body, so characters will be more customizable as a whole. We got flying and we got swimming, what could be game changing the next time? Character customization!

Despite all the requests here and elsewhere, at the last NA fanfest Yoshi said that character customization wasn't a high priority. Dunno if that was a general comment or a 4.0 comments, but I figure if I expect nothing I won't be as disappointed ;-;

They need to allow the sliders to go up to 200% or at least 150%. If they're only gonna give me one new dungeon, may as well use that time to improve the CC.

I think you are worrying about what people think a bit too much. It's just a game and a small aspect to the game. I'm not saying that the flat butts ruin the game for me and I'm not demanding a change ....But you have to admit, this does look a little jarring doesn't it...? :/ This has always bothered me.

I agree there is a lot of great gear to pick from on this game that doesn't really show off the butt and maybe some people wear bikinis as their main set but I find that very rare. Most people wear it when they are around a beach setting like in mist. What's so sad about that??? Also, a lot of crafter gear is quite tight and shows off the body. That's just how it is....

just as an fyi, the people modeling characters aren't likely the same people making dungeons, writing lore, etc.

I do wish that you would see people rallying more for customization of all sorts and it is a bit dismaying that the butt/boobs get the most vocalization while other options tend to get left out (although I do see people asking for more face options sometimes and I reeeeally wish SE would do this!!!). But when threads pop up asking for them, I'm going to say "heck yes please" because I'd like to see customization on all fronts.

The thing is, there ARE skimpy outfits you can wear. And if SE is going to offer them then why should it be surprising if people kind of tilt their head in confusion at the extremely flat butts? I guess for the "average" player, you might not be in those outfits a lot. But I craft a lot, so I'm often in tight gear cause that's just the crafter gear for you. I also roleplay a lot so depending on the setting (like the beach as I said), I may wear a skimpier outfit. There are a lot of ways to play this game and there are different things that people find important. I just don't see why people like to call others pathetic or insult them for having a different view.

Of course, it's also ok that you personally don't think butt sliders should be a priority. It is a minor thing, you could definitely argue. But I don't think everyone asking for it is just trying to sexualize the characters. Some are, I'm sure. But just because a butt CAN be sexualized doesn't mean that it is. I just personally don't like the way the flat one looks and I have big hips irl, so I'd like it if I could have a character who is a bit bigger on the bottom. Some can argue that it is sexualization but I could also argue that it's sexualization to keep all the women as these skinny minis with no curves (which, I live in Japan and I can tell you this is what the Japanese ideal woman pretty much looks like). You know? It's all just perspective I guess. But, I understand your view and respect it. I just wish that people wouldn't come here acting like people asking for it are "pathetic".

Idc if a character or the person behind it is male or female, saying that a part of them isn't aesthetically pleasing if they don't fill out outfits properly isn't exactly nice, because their views most likely carry on in real life as well.

Everyone is different and has different preferences as to what is visually pleasing, so yeah, of course that probably carries over to real life to some degree. That doesn't mean there's an issue. I don't see how this is relevant, or why it's demeaning about characters in a video game. Making generalizations does you no favors either. You worry too much about what other people think of your character. It's yours, who cares? I want customization, much more. The butt slider isn't a priority for me, but it's part of the topic, and another possible option. So yes, I support it fully. More faces, body details such as scars, tattoos, etc would be amazing and I would much rather have such things first.

Square Enix destroyed the beautiful figures females had in 1.0, maybe they wanted to reduce polygons or whatever but not everyone is happy with the result, I join the millions of players that would enjoy having the original character models and butt sliders to a smaller amendment, truth be told the current female proportions are not very accurate to what is anatomically correct and/or ideal!...

Koreans are much finer in modeling bodies, SE could learn something from them!...

yes, and female Lalafell have a bust slider wich does virtually nothing. when the resscoures are limited, why must i spend those resscources on a slider wich goes only from 0 to 0? please give female lalafell a real option instead of this useless bust slider o.o/

I can't agree with every single thing in this paragraph more.

As someone who happens to have a bigger lower half in general I want this to happen just so my character can resemble me a bit more. I mean she might be a dragon-lady but she's still the ig representation of me! I'd like this to be an option certainly, anything to make characters a bit more lifelike it great too. I have tried to turn my butt into basically my character's butt for years. It isn't hapoening. It'd be nice to at least be able to do the inverse.

Also I haven't read this whole thread but if someone really called someone else pathetic they need to chill out.
