They arent stealing anyones money, loyal fans will stay to fund the development up to v2.0 even if they say v2.0 is FFXIV's last chance because they have have had so many chances, they released 1 game too early and your thinking that SE is a failure of a company and deserve to go under, you have said you have been a loyal fan of SE since FF1, if you were as loyal as you say then you will be willing to give FFXIV this last chance, and you would not boycot every game made by SE unless it becomes a trend.

I will admit the recent FF games have not been up to the quality of previous titles but I am seeing that trend along the entire gaming industry is it volume problems, is it low staffing or somthing else we will never know but I feel most games are going down in quality in recent years and people havent fought back since FFXIV.

If you asked me games peaked in the late 90s and early 2000s but I am personnaly giving FFXIV until after v2.0 to improve, and I will be funding the transitional period as long as I can afford it because I am a loyal fan of the franchise.

If you choose to boycott a whole company because of one rushed out game you are not a loyal fan, you claim you are loyal until they mess up which is immature

love the you are not a true fan post, These have so much merit behind them. buying every ff definitely does not make you a fan, buying all 14 of their games and probable a few others does not make you a true fan. only supporting a broken game, does, i agree

SE did a deficit (financing) in this year.
and if it's deficit in next year , its really bad for business.

I don't see what is the problem everyone has with these posts... seriously does it break ur concentration in whatever you are doing if you see one more post here? do you get a sharp pain in ur head by sensing that another thread about quiting was posted? if no you could just ignore it and keep playing...

Anyway i agree with OP, i also decided that i won't pay for this game so soon, it's not a good game it's that simple, i admit that i had a few days when i could say it was fun, but most of all it was boring, everything you do in this game is boring and leave me no will to get any acomplishments/trophys since they seems pointless to me. i had my best times soloing all main scenario quests just to be left hanging with an incomplete story, pretty much all world quests are the same variation of quest, there is not one memorable one, leves, crafting and grinding become old really fast. I did ifrit fight a few times, never killed it, it was kind frustrating cause lvling Gla to 36 was the most boring thing i ever had to do, seems like u gotta run the fight a few times and really get used to it till u know by heart what ifrit is gonna do... kinda reminds me of sephiroth fight in kingdom hearts lol... kinda wanted to kill him but it was just so i could say i did, dont really care in the end, anyway i wondered all the time for the last couple of months why i even play this...

Now there were 2 reasons to play this game, it was free and there were constant promises of improvement, it seems like its not gonna be free anymore and it will take at least one year to become the game so many os us hoped for. So now that that is clarified there's no real reason for me to be here. i hope the people that like the game keep supporting it, SE seems to have a well defined plan to make this a successful game, i supose i don't feel like paying for mistakes, maybe i'll pay for the real deal in 2013... maybe not, good luck to the rest of you =)

Point is, its kinda Childish, so see Repetitive thread about payments.. when people can focus on the game and try to make it a better game for us all. Payments have been bet down with a stick... and then a Polearm stabbed the Donkey... okay. I understand everyones concern, Both valid points. but SE already said they are discounting the game.. so why a post that says " 12.95 what for?" when it was stated we get a discount? Trolling for the sake of trolling >.>. anyways thats just how I feel about it

Seems like there is a ton of stuff you haven't done yet. Anyway, more end-game is coming. And I do hope that they let you materia or convert dungeon gear at some point.

ive stopped playing so i would have things to do later. And i dont plan on doing all of the half baked quests and leves. Nor do i care if i reach every gate/camp or kill every NM. most of that is barely content. leveling im not doing a ton more of, finishing MRD and fiddling with crafting, then im done til jobs or new classes.

I might not be the example of getting everything done, i barely touched the game til recently and my Lindblum character is all of a few weeks old (and look how much ive done in under a month..,). For the people who have been playing a good portion of the time, im sure they have quite a bit done and are bored until the next patch, which im sure most will blow through in the first week.
