And here it is, yet again...more ASSUMPTIONS. Why does everyone assume that the game is MAGICALLY going to be awesome, when we're here a year later, and still complaining about some of the most fundamental aspects of the game, like the class system. Is a glorified expansion all it takes to convince you that "everything is gonna be ok?" What if it doesn't work out...what if the 2.0 release is just as big of a disappointment as the early release of the original. What if you end up paying another $150.00, give or take, for a game that ceases to exist? What if all that time, effort, energy, and all those "friends" you made....just disappear? What then....<.<

Being asked to wait until the 2.0 Patch aside, why do you hold a bias against the current existing content? Is it simply not enough? Or is there something more fundamental that you want to experience that is lacking?

There should be room for mature discourse here, particularly when it comes to individual preferences as to what is 'enough'. And what about it you see now, and in the current known 2.0 that does not match that.

be honest, the first 10 posters that attacked the op. are reason for my sarcasm, they have completely ruined this game for me. they do it to anyone who does not hold this game as their holy grail and its sickening. i been accused of being other people because i share the same views.

this community has been split into 2 groups, those who love the game, those who want/ expected 2.0. i personally think every gripe i have had about this game will be fixed at or more likely after 2.0.

my main issue is that why should we pay to fix a game, when we paid for what we figured to be a NEW game. these servers, engines, and UI, the main reason for the rebuild, will not be fixed till 2.0 these all make me not like playing this game.

when i quit ffxi and played other mmos, i found out really quick why these game was considered "better". not because of content, not because it had a better story, not because they had open world pvp or anything like that, just for simple fact they played better. this game plays like a F2P game. the animation locks and server lag hinder my game experience. it kills me when someone will say, 'i don't want this because it will ruin my immersion' but yet they can deal with the clunky laggy, and just plain slow gameplay.

this is pretty obvious, i want to play ffxiv, i know its hard to believe i want to play a game i don't enjoy, it makes no sense to me either. I guess when you buy something you expect to enjoy it, not wait a year later to. so yes venting is my main reason. and until SE tells me IM not allowed to vent on their forums, i wont stop.

1. There's two people in this thread that's raging, and that's the OP and you, everyone else might as well be a zen master in meditation compared to you.

alot of other mmo's got shutdown or went F2P model so there doing alot worse than FFXIV
