then everyone who played for the first year and came back will complain and few months later they will give them it either way. i'ma be pissed if i leave or dont' do achievements cause they are pointless only to find out i lose out on a faster or better looking mount, i wants my goobie mount too. this is called paying 200bucks for a mount and i refuse to do so. but there has been full threads bout this so i'll keep it at that.

I want to be honest here. I have a feeling a lot of the people who claim they are 'long time loyal followers' of Square Enix suddenly disenfranchised by FFXIV, are either not as loyal as they claim, or is trying to use a loyalty they'll actually not sacrifice, as some sort of bargaining chip.

You either have it or you don't. FFXIV, for the majority of Final Fantasy fans, will not even register on their radar, strictly on the basis that they don't play MMOs, or have already designated another company's MMO as their one of choice. It has little to no bearing on the actual production and sales of their console titles.
