Un-eligable for Falcon Mount due to oversight

me and my g/f bought 90 subs from the mog station before sept 30th, but didn't get the mount.

so apparently can only buy time cards not buy it from the mog station account page.

I pay through the mog station via crysta. I always pay in 3 month increments and I got the mount just fine in the first batch of releases, so that doesn't seem to be the case.

At any rate, to those who haven't received the mount due to a flaw in the system like this, I would suggest contacting customer support and seeing if they can offer you any help. Although when a similar thing happened to my friend back in 1.0 (he dropped a sub for 2 days due to some weird mess up), he ended up ineligible for the legacy mount and when he contacted SE they said they literally had no way to give the mount to him. Like, there was no system in place. So I really hope that they fixed that nonsense system.

The campaign clearly said that any free days that you got while the campaign lasted, do not count towards the subscription days. I leveled a new char on Louisoix for the free 15 days and then in September realised I'll be short for the mount, so I bought a game time card. Got my mount and all. If you just change the sub while your current one is still not over, it doesn't consider that until the new sub starts running. The only way to circumvent that is by applying a game time card to your account.

So tell me....If that happens to one character does it apply to all characters? My account does not show additional time for the alt I leveled on Louisoix just the additional time I received for the server transfers. It is quite obvious that SE implemented this campaign with little or no planning for all reasonable eventualities.

The 15 days free time for a new character is account wide, not bound to the character. But you can only receive it once per account.

I think the issue lies more in that the free days automatically delay your recurring sub. Which itself I don't remember clearly being noted. It doesn't matter to me which day I get debited for sub but for others that may have it set up to come out say after pay day etc which has now been moved. It was very clear that free days do not count towards the campaign period and I don't think anyone is disputing that, Its more likely that people with recurring subs expected their sub renewal to continue as usual and qualify.

Bottom line is a different FFXIV promo automatically moved payment dates for those using a certain sub method which meant they didn't qualify for the falcon mount promo, had payment dates not been moved those people would have qualified.

I don't think anyone expected free days to count but equally it wasn't clear that those on a reccuring sub would have to seek out additional payment methods such as timecards just to qualify.

I just want SE to know I hate this event and how we're determined eligible. Having to scour through posts like these hoping someone else is dealing with my same situation is way too frustrating to even care anymore.

Friend didn't get free time from preferred word and he has a recurring sub that never fell off, still hasn't got the mount.

Why is there complete radio silence from SE in this campaign? People have been asking questions since it started and community reps have been ignoring this topic. Now distribution is over, people are having real issues yet all we get is still more silence.

I have same issue.

I have been subbed for over three years paying monthly. I bought the Mac version of XIV in July. I had NO IDEA this would make me ineligible for the Falcon mount or I never would have done it in the first place! I only figured this out AFTER reading this thread.

I get that ingame GMs cant really do anything but all they are doing is telling me to go onto the OF to post about this. Obviously this is effecting others and SE hasn't responded. Totally unacceptable.

To be fair, theres only 39 posts, and a lot of people have posted more than once. It may not be effecting as many as you think, and while they may have forwarded the issue on to those responsible, they may not be allowed to post without approval from higher-ups. Also, its now the weekend, and the community reps only work Mon-Fri unless live letters or other events.
