What's wrong with keyblades? I want my keyblade and Sora outfit. Yes pls, SE gimme. <3
...But FFXIV wont be around once KH3 comes out. /s. XD
Ignoring my personal hatred for Kingdom Hearts, a KH crossover is highly unlikely to ever happen, and not just for the legal nightmare it would require (seeing as it's populated with Disney characters and is co-produced by Disney, and would thus require a lot of copyright wrangling to be negotiated first, which would be too costly for SE to bother with for something that is a short term event in FFXIV), all the previous crossover events have all had some deeper connection to FFXIV itself and the development team in particular.
Like the FFXI events were to celebrate FFXI's eleventh anniversary of service and official winding up of it's storyline while also paying tribute to FFXI's producer who was also the original producer of FFXIV before Yoshi took over (Hiromichi Tanaka), and the FFXIII event was actually a result of a private joke between Yoshi and FFXIII's producer Motomu Toriyama (who had a FFXIV miqo'te costume and Grand Company weapons for Lightning in Lightning Returns), and that Yoshi would "find some way to repay the compliment by having Lightning appear in FFXIV" (paraphrased), which officially was made to cross promote LR-FFXIII's worldwide launch.
As there is zero connection with Kingdom Hearts with the FFXIV team, and the only connection KH's producer Tetsuya Nomura has with FFXIV is he did some guest artwork for Heavensward's launch, I see this never happening (or at least highly unlikely I'm sorry to say).

Well yeah, we all know this. One can dream though...maybe the actual game (aka KH 3) will be released in the next 20 years, too. Think I just made a funny.
We had a Dragon Quest event twice. It's not a FF title. Heck, we have a Yokai Watch even which has nothing to do with SE. A KH event is likely to happen then.
There is a big difference between a fellow game developer like Level 5 and the massive money hungry giant that is Disney.
Dragon Quest happened because Dragon Quest is Square Enix Property. Kingdom Hearts is a collaboration between 2 companies and as such they would need agreement from Disney. That sounds like a legal nightmare.
Like previous people have stated its very unlikely to happen ever. I'm not against the idea... I'm just incredibly doubtful that it would ever happen.
Also the reason there was a Dragon Quest event is it was to celebrate DQX's first anniversary of service, a game that was actually Yoshi's previous project (he left the DQX team to take up his post as producer of FFXIV in 2011 following Tanaka stepping down due to FFXIV 1.0's bungled development and launch).
And as Youkulm mentioned, the creator of Yo-Kai Watch is close friends with Yoshi so, yeah, there you are (and I want to make it clear I am definitely not accusing Yoshi of nepotism here as I have so much respect for him and the FFXIV team - if it came across that way I am deeply sorry - it's just that crossover events that are run in FFXIV with other games and series usually have to have some deeper connection to FFXIV itself and the development team in particular, and are not just added "because it's requested by players"). So again, for that reason I say a KH themed event in FFXIV is highly unlikely. That's just facing facts.
Also to be fair, the Dragon Quest event didn't really use any characters from the Dragon Quest franchise. There were monsters (three flavours of golems) from DQ, but that was about it. Every other character involved was a XIV race.
