Rockbreaker: Aoe, expensive, does okay damage.
Arm of the Destroyer: Does horrible damage, but a silence aoe. Expensive.
One Ilm Punch: Remove a buff from an enemy. Expensive. Does little damage.
Basically, Monk starved himself to basically auto attack.
Those are situational moves...that have little effect against bosses, if any. Like, seriously. Granted, I've only played monk in 3.56 content, so I don't know how much different monk plays now...but yeah, even against regular adds, I never found a use for another of those three skills. Dunno why somebody would be using them in freakin Omega Savage.
He was basically AOEing a single-target for no reason. And One-Ilm Punch isn’t as useless as it was pre-SB, but still pretty useless.
Oh... forgot to mention he was one of those MNKs that Tornado Kick off CD. That’s also bad; don’t do that. D:

I was coming here to post about this!I have good news, and I have bad news:
Good news: ran into Moro and Tridus in V3N while running Omega Normal for weeklies with Bourne_Endeavor!There was much fangirling! I was so happy to get to party with some cool peeps from the forums!
Bad news: another monk in v4n using Rockbreaker (!!!), Arm of the Destroyer (!!!!!), and ONE ILM PUNCH (!!!!!!!!!!).
...why. ;_; ...just...why...
I also inadvertedly killed both Bourne_Endeavor and Hyomin by not stacking properly, in my defense I was fangirling too hard to play well.
My bad news story is about my expert roulette. I wound up in Kugane Castle which almost never happens, nice! A refreshing change of scenery!
I was so, so wrong.
I had a WAR tank and DRG/NIN DPS with me on AST. I am the first to admit I don't know much about either of those DPS at 70 while I do know WAR pretty well as it's my boyfriend's main. The WAR does the standard pulls which is cool, that's a good way to feel out the party, but it becomes apparent very quickly that I am going to have two problems.
The first is that this WAR would make a great off tank, she's allergic to tank stance and all about her DPS. Cooldowns are emergency buttons for her apparently.
The second is that things are dying noticibly slowly. Whether it's a boss or a group of trash it's taking much longer than I usually see to the point that I have to reign in my own DPS several times to make sure I'll have the MP to keep this glass tank up.
Sadly I don't know enough about either DPS class to offer meaningful help to them and what I do think I know could be wrong so I stay quiet to avoid spreading misinformation.
We make it through but the run takes nearly a half an hour total and I have burned several ethers trying to AoE down the ridiculously large packs the tank winds up pulling. She even does the full pull after the second boss.
It was just exhausting to heal, plus I was sort of forced to play very aggressively towards the end because if not we were going to eat some of those huge bomb AoEs.
Moral of the story? Sometimes Bole has it's uses.
You’re welcome. :3

Oh, you’re fine. X3 After all, I stood in the healer square for The Game and got Damage Down and Vuln. XD

Oh. And to think I was correcting someone just on the last page.
The Irony is too funny to me. Thanks for correction though. Point still stands, it was worthless.
