It seemed designed to last 1 patch because the rewards didn't get updated to stay relevant to lv70 players. If the Emergency Mission pops it needs like 40+ people to clear comfortably which would be impossible to arrange now. Personally I quite like Diadem but it's hard on my datacenter to even recruit a few people for something other than dungeons, like treasure maps.

Treasure maps run on trust. Until it defaults to a 'Your map, your drop' setting it'll always be somewhat dead content outside of friend groups.

I wouldn't say a "Your map your drop" system, but what about a "Your map, only you can roll need on it" system? That way if you don't want it, at least someone else can roll for it (and you don't have to faff about with trading and such). Like I tend to pass on most things on the treasure maps (when I run them with friends), but if Nagxian Silk drops, I want it!
