The Diadem was very useful for me as DoL/DoH, not much as DoW/DoM.
There used to be some mats that can only be obtained in there. But now you can get almost anything outside of Diadem.
If it doesn't give something exclusive, no one will do it.
It gave minions and mounts, but only collectors will go for those. Not the average player.
Having Diadem Fates give EXP is not good enough. Anyone can do Fates in the open world.
"BAAAAAARD!" - 2018

They should maybe removed the instanced area stuff and cross server to transform it in open world area which give xp (like a kind of 60 area elite area?), and transform the reward quest into a daily maybe?
At least if it is open world it will be possible to get enought people to try the big FATE.
Farming FATE there maybe more rewarding because of the drop chest stuff.
Far from useless, plenty of crafting mats which are still used are easily found there, if you have a FC capable of going there its definitely worth the trip. easy way to get shards too.

I liked the changes they made to Diadem, but it was way too late to matter. It became irrelevant after one patch, unlike PotD.
They need to make Diadem a zone where our character power is set and stationary (like in pvp) but we are at current level and have access to all current abilities. Make it open to any class from level 50-70, and make the fates and objectives award large amounts of XP to aid in leveling classes. Think of it as a cross-server fate grinding zone for leveling.
As it exists now, it rewards nothing relevant to level 61+. Only a slim percentage of characters are going to be at level 60 now, so there is no point to it staying as is.

These are why I did Diadem and it really didn't take long to get them. In fact it was easier to get them than the Yo-kai Watch minions. There was a lot of activity to get spoils for the Pegasus minion/mount just before SE closed Diadem. After it reopened I had the Fate minions within a week or two of casual runs.
