Your OP still says "Supporting evidence that Conjurers have Canonical White Mage backgrounds"
Are you going to change your OP or are you going to leave misleading information in it?

Did you read my post at all? You are thinking canon over the whole of Final Fantasy when really he is stating canon over just Final Fantasy XIV... So I think its more you are misunderstanding what he meant.

Then Momodi would not have said...
Misconstrue and warp the next line to fit your theory all you guys want. This line negates that hypothesis. Next argument.Originally Posted by Momodi

Notice I said what if... though looking at the way the line is worded I would still go with what I first posted about sects and the fact that it says they are 2 sects meaning different which of course is one follows Nald and the other follows Thal but your character can only be part of the Thal sect and as of right now can not join the Nald sect at all and as the wording from the rest of that line shows they wouldn't take the starting adventurer.
So even if they are both called THM which they probably are you are only part of one sect and not the other so I don't think them actually being called THM means much in the larger picture does it? Sure they are THM's but they are THM's you can never be a part of (so far).

And, good sir, my English is fine. There were syntax subtleties in the Momodi original quote that indicate my paraphrased alternate quote would be a reasonable interpretation.Originally Posted by Quasi-momodi

Let me dissect the original Momodi statement for you:
What we know: Thaumaturges reside in the Order of Nald' Thal. The thaumaturges? Aye, I know a bit of their ways. Theirs is the Order of Nald'Thal.
What we know at this point: Thaumaturges reside in the Order of Nald' Thal, and the order of Nald thal is split into two sects.Split into two sects here in Ul'dah, it is. And each with its own temple--Milvaneth Sacrarium and Arrzaneth Ossuary.
What we do not know at this point: Whether Thaumaturges, residing in the order, reside in one sect or both.
What we know at this point: Thaumaturges reside in the Order of Nald' Thal, and the order of Nald thal is split into two sects. Whoever resides in the Sacrarium is exclusive in who joins. The Sacrarium's notorious for turnin' away visitors and novices.
What we do not know at this point: Whether Thaumaturges, residing in the order, reside in one sect or both.
What we know at this point: Thaumaturges reside in the Order of Nald' Thal, and the order of Nald thal is split into two sects. Thaumaturges reside in the Sect tied to the Arrzaneth Ossuary. Whoever resides in the Sacrarium is exclusive in who joins. But the thaumaturges of the Ossuary welcome even lay adventurers into their halls to train.
What we do not know at this point: Whether Thaumaturges, residing in the order and the Ossuary, also reside in the Milvaneth Sacrarium.

LMAO Neptune and Wynn are hilarious. They keep posting quotes of other post, which are copy and paste of actual in game text, and call it "wrong".
Its literally hilarious how they keep calling in game lore as wrong when the devs says its right by there releasing that CON=WHM & THM=BLM. All lore supports it because its already announced that this is how it is.
The fact that they are still here argueing that the world is flat and that the sun revolves around the Earth is a testiment to there lack of understanding of FFXIV.

Oh really? The FFXIV canon? Let me guess, the Black Mage is part of that canon? That's funny because I never once read the word Mage in the entire game. The cat is an idiot.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if the dev team decided it was the other way around and you went around saying the entire game already supported their new announcement? That's what happens when you can't think for yourself.LMAO Neptune and Wynn are hilarious. To be honest, I would have probably protested the other way around, since based on the rules already established by the devs, it would be a massive display of retroactive continuity.
But, until I had performed the analysis in the OP, I would have remained neutral, since I believe basing which class gets which job purely on the spells, as they are now, is absurdly naive.

Hmmm... just like a normal human. I don't remember insulting you but that how most of you humans are... you didn't get what you wanted so you will be mad and angry at all those who point out that its in the lore and the story of the game itself. Also it doesn't have to say mage at all Final Fantasy XIV has its own story and system it is not the same as all the other FF game and if you want to get into it most of the other FF games are not much like each other. Yes yes there are some traditional or trademark abilities and such that carry over from game to game but it is not always locked into place...Oh really? The FFXIV canon? Anyways attack attack attack you don't actually bother me... all it makes me do is tilt my head to the side and say ah typical human reaction. It will be ok you will see the sun will come out again for you someday.
The cat is laughing =^o^=
