It only "breaks immersion" if you let it... what I decide to to within my own properties doesn't effect your immersion... I think the fact that the devs haven't fixed the air snapping "exploit" is great as it allows us to be far more creative. We get to place things in ways the devs never considered and limiting the amount of things they have to designate as wall/tables/ect...

"Air Snapping" will likely never be fixed, it's not necessarily a bad thing to stay. But further exploits will just as likely not be considered to be developed in the game. When the devs release a feature, they release it to all players, not just those who want to use it. If other players are using a feature while some are not, the players not making use of the feature will be "pressured" to follow suit or suffer lower potential. This pressure is negative if said player does not want to use this feature in the first place.

We have wall and pillar partitions already. Placement-assist items like "Scaffolding" and "Ceiling Hooks" can allow for the equivalent of air snapping without having to resort to air snapping. Making more liberal use of the current "Stages" will also allow for more variety and "creativity". Without having to resort to exploits.

Edit: Not to mention it would be nice to be able to stage "plays" with castle, chocobo, goobbue, trees and Khloe props. Or just to place the props in a way that tell a story.

It's much easier to make items "table top" than to make a bunch of new items with new designations which then will have their own limitations...

I was thinking that, after seeing how large just the harp is.

To be fair, it breaks my immersion more to not have "floating" fish tanks in an environment steeped in magic. In reality, we have hooks to accomplish the same effect.

Also, you can't tell me animals, flowers, or books, don't belong on fireplace ledges in a fantasy world. I really do hope they have no intentions of fixing this "glitch."

All that aside, I really do hope they reconsider the typing of instruments, at least. Even the Mol instrument, sadly not interactable, became a tabletop item.

Wow I didn't realize that happened..lol what is the point of a stage if you can't put anything on it. Seems kind of redundant..

I mean you can put a handful of stuff on it, so long they have the table top attribute. The problem is most furniture don't have that.

By the way, "immersion-breaking" image below, you have been warned:

We already have (imo) enough silly restrictions for housing... Just... don't...

^ this. It's lesser work, also introducing a new attribute might create more immersion-breaking bugs too.

-tbh its time the redesign some aspects of housing.

-one thing is to remove the silly tabletop/floor/indoor/outdoor /wall mounted restrictions. omggggggg how passé can ya get ^^

-allow us to place any item anywhere WE choose!!! mid air, on the floor ,on the wall..or shoved into a corner of the ceiling....it should NOT matter, it is our home! isn't it?

-player creativity is so low in this game due primarily to the games limits not the players lack of imagination/wants/desires.

    please consider SE

You can already glitch out of bounds, anyways.

Thank you, I can't understand why people get so bent out of shape about what someone might enjoy in their own building when they don't ever have to go in anyone else's house. If it's a possible code liability, let the devs figure out what might be gamebreaking, but "I don't want them to be able to" is a terrible reason.
