Thanks for the feed back and updates. Made some changes to list and a few items I need to test tonight. Generally speaking I'd love to update this list with a star ranking system for level of importance as well. A lot of this stuff such as in the commands section are low priority and just so we have more options for ways of doing things but at the same time I feel like adding those "options" are a quick and easy thing to add." Like the /check command I could program myself in a day or less. This is why I can't wait till Yoshi opens up 2.0 for Mods. The community can fix all this stuff in a month because there are thousands of programmers willing and waiting for the tools and access while the SE team is only 120ish people.
thepoet03.. you are posting the same obnoxious list again.. and again I will say: do your homework before wasting time. A lot of what is on your list has already implemented, responded to by the Developers/Community Reps and/or is coming in the future. And no, I am not going to do it for you...if you feel so entitled to make this list, than at least do it to 100% accuracy.
Also I would prefer it if you did not mark this as a "Master List of Player Requested Changes V3.0" because not every request that hits these forums has been included. Further more, not every player agrees with you. So really this is a "Master List of what thepoet03 Feels should be in FFXIV".
Personally, I don't think it is right for you to accuse the Dev team of being slow and not doing their jobs. That is absurd. Your statement above leads me to think that you have not read the announcement PDFs about version 2.0 or any of the recent global interviews.Originally Posted by thepoet03

It is really annoying to read most of the requests in the English community forums because usually there is a general feeling of animosity. Just try to trust and respect Yoshida-san and his team for their creative ideas and what they have done to improve this game thus far because they really have. And remember, good things come to those who wait!
Suggestions:
Party leader option to mark "Allies" with a marker, and mobs.
Much like in WoW.
The current ones are only useable on the player itself leve-monsters only.
Being able to mark a target before engaging it would be nice.

I agree with most of your points (especially /sea commands, I think that these need more adressing), some I feel to be nitpicking and less important, as the team has already a lot of content to finnish. Here are a few that I don't care for though.
1) Don't allow people sit on you when you’re sitting down somewhere
What's wrong with this?
2) Allow us to see the last time someone logged in
I am for giving linkshell leaders administrative powers, but there should be some a certain freedom when it comes to privacy. I shouldn't feel like the ls leader is having me under surveillance 24/7.
3 Click to Move & Double Mouse Hold to move
I am not too fond of this, using the numb pad is actually one of the things that makes the game feel different in a good way.
4 Don't take up inventory space for items I have equipped
I think Yoshida already said that there is going to be a mannequin system, where each class or job has a "mannequin" of some sort. Further he said that when you equip gear on the mannequin it wouldn't take up inventory space, and that when you change class or job you automatically equip the gear that's on the mannequin.
5 Allow us to view all the in-game achievements we've earned in game
In 2.0 you have your own achievement section in the menus.
Also, /shutdown and /logout should be added commands.
I think this needs to be highlighted as a concern with priority. I am for private housing areas for giving you a sense of home and space to breathe, and I am also for some private instanced raiding. But in general I think that the game needs to be a lot more open, only a few things should be instanced.Add: Lots of open world content, otherwise the world will feel dead even with these changes because everyone will be in an instance somewhere and making a world feel more alive is by actually being a part of it and not in some random cluster that no one else can visit but your party.
Mob > Mob interaction I recall was from FFXII and XIII which they said they always wanted to do with FFXI, so this is something I definitely expected to see in FFXIV.
Why is housing such a priority in the community? I can only cringe at the development effort being put toward developing a housing framework that could be better put toward more pressing issues that need to be resolved sooner rather than later.
Actually, the "Housing" section is just a "copy & paste"
from my "Housing Suggestions" thread.
So it has nothing to do with major priority to
this thread, no matter how many ideas i put in there.
They are just plain suggestions of ideas, not a must have.
Most ideas are based upon other peoples ideas from
FFXI, WoW and some other games.
Main interest for all this, is to increase the economy
and various things to do in the game.
One should never get bored.
I'd say the things on this list is 10% must have and
rest is what we players would like in the future,
so i wouldnt take this to seriously yet & think "We Need This Now!"
Example: why give us a house if theres nothing to do in it?
Anywayz, once "Housing" has been implemented and you experience
this feature maybe for the first time (wich seems to obvious to me),
then i think you will know why we want this so bad.
I have great faith in Yoshi-p's visions & ambitions for this special project.
It's one of the things that made FFXI unique, and in FFXIV it
might be possible to go even further than any other mmo.

Nice list
Is player housing going to be for Free Companies only? I kinda wish I had a place for myself to be honest... :/
Hm, im also abit confused about this, from what i read it seems there will be 2 options.
Rental house/room in the "Adventure Guild" in the city's.
(This might just be temporarly or for personal house)
And free-Company housing will be located in a small community in specific zones.
An estate shared amonst the Free-Company members maybe.
Or atleast this is what i think Yoshi-P meant. (something like that anyway...)

More or less I think the list the OP has there covers a lot of what the majority feels the game needs, lacks, or would be nice to have. Will every single one of us agree with 100% of it? No. But anyone who is being honest can at least see the merit in discussing or addressing why something may be needed or why it will not be added. Nice list OP and don't mind the trolls.
In my personal opinion the player housing is best left for addressing once 2.0 drops. I don't think I'd fool with it much but admit I would like to have the option of it.
I would like to add something to your list under Annoying Things. Wireless controllers don't reconnect after power down/ power loss. This is an easily fixed issue(for the dev team) that has been discussed here on these forums yet has gone unaddressed for way to long.. One such thread "Wireless Gamepad Doesn't Associate Twice in one Instance." http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...n-one-Instance.
It is better to be pissed off than pissed on.
