It's written two times, it shows how much we should have that already.Crafting
a.) Retainer bell inside of crafting areas(guilds)
b.) Different mini-game for each crafting profession
c.) Display a icon to show buff when crafting
d.) Recipe Book
e.) Different mini-game for each crafting profession
f.) A way to change Linkshells while crafting.
Before I first played the game last year, I was really expecting different mini-games for all classes of the Hand and Land. It was a disappointment to see that classes of the Hand had all the same "menu-mini-game" and that classes of the Land, too, had the same mini-game (only with a different moving node).
I believe it would be awesome if, progressively, new mini-games unique to each classes could be added.
If Yoshi-P believes it is something that should come in the game, please, tell us. We'll start throwing in the ideas for mini-games for each class.
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
While I 100% agree, calling crafting bar a mini-game is a severe insult to all mini-games ever made. It's written two times, it shows how much we should have that already.

If crafting is a mini-game then surely IX's hot'n cold or X's blitzball or VIII's cardgame are fully featured epic adventures that should be a full-priced retail game in comparison to crafting.
Thanks for the feed back and the fixes. Keep them coming. The main point of keeping this list is I really don't think the devs are paying attention too these forums and community as much as me. There are a lot of great ideas out there and I've taken it upon myself to collect them put them in this list so hopefully they will see it and use it. I know a lot of this stuff is coming in one form or another but I'm trying to make sure they understand how to do those things correctly as well. Because they may misunderstand a simple request like we want mail boxes and not get that along with that there are several other features they need to add to make it efficient and work well. Like the mount System great thanks for adding it can we please make it current gen now?

Add: Lots of open world content, otherwise the world will feel dead even with these changes because everyone will be in an instance somewhere and making a world feel more alive is by actually being a part of it and not in some random cluster that no one else can visit but your party.Environments / The World At large – Making the world feel more alive
1.) More interactive Objects – for example Let me sit in more chairs near tables (Adventurers guild) and various spots around the world
2.) Allow us to have different idle stances in passive mode, like NPCs
3.) Maybe a comment in /check like Bazaar comments (was always nice)
4.) Have the NPC's move around a bit
5.) Voice out as much Dialog as possible
6.) Occasional Mob to Mob interaction
Would be so cool seeing two wolves in the distance fighting or an occasional larger mob eating a smaller mob. Makes you feel like you ARE in the wild. Makes it more real.
Mob > Mob interaction I recall was from FFXII and XIII which they said they always wanted to do with FFXI, so this is something I definitely expected to see in FFXIV.
I agree with most of your points (especially /sea commands, I think that these need more adressing), some I feel to be nitpicking and less important, as the team has already a lot of content to finnish. Here are a few that I don't care for though.
1) Don't allow people sit on you when you’re sitting down somewhere
What's wrong with this?
2) Allow us to see the last time someone logged in
I am for giving linkshell leaders administrative powers, but there should be some a certain freedom when it comes to privacy. I shouldn't feel like the ls leader is having me under surveillance 24/7.
3 Click to Move & Double Mouse Hold to move
I am not too fond of this, using the numb pad is actually one of the things that makes the game feel different in a good way.
4 Don't take up inventory space for items I have equipped
I think Yoshida already said that there is going to be a mannequin system, where each class or job has a "mannequin" of some sort. Further he said that when you equip gear on the mannequin it wouldn't take up inventory space, and that when you change class or job you automatically equip the gear that's on the mannequin.
5 Allow us to view all the in-game achievements we've earned in game
In 2.0 you have your own achievement section in the menus.
Also, /shutdown and /logout should be added commands.
I think this needs to be highlighted as a concern with priority. I am for private housing areas for giving you a sense of home and space to breathe, and I am also for some private instanced raiding. But in general I think that the game needs to be a lot more open, only a few things should be instanced.Add: Lots of open world content, otherwise the world will feel dead even with these changes because everyone will be in an instance somewhere and making a world feel more alive is by actually being a part of it and not in some random cluster that no one else can visit but your party.

This is brutally true. The world feel dead and will still feel dead in 2.0 if its not addressed.Add: Lots of open world content, otherwise the world will feel dead even with these changes because everyone will be in an instance somewhere and making a world feel more alive is by actually being a part of it and not in some random cluster that no one else can visit but your party.

I think some people may have misunderstood your tone, OP. I thought you came across as adversarial the first time I read your post. Re-reading it, I realize that probably wasn't the intention.
It has been posted somewhere before that there are over 120 people working on this game. I feel like the phrase "hire more people or let us do the fixing for you" is a bit unfair. That's already a lot of people to pay for a game that hasn't made any money for an entire year, and Yoshi is working his butt off trying to give us a quality product (and succeeding, in my opinion).
Like someone else mentioned, I don't disagree with most (or all, tl;dr) of these changes. We are getting some of this stuff in 1.20, however, and by the time 2.0 launches, I would be very surprised if most of these concerns hadn't been addressed.
I will say this, however. Not everybody has reached a unanimous consensus on all of the changes proposed in this thread, so just because you never get to cross a certain item off of your list doesn't necessarily mean that it wasn't addressed by the development team, or that it was implemented incorrectly. They may go in a different direction with some things, and not everybody will disagree with their decisions.
In any case, you have a solid list. Thank you for compiling this.
"f.) Allow invite-to-party and disband while in combat"
This is fixed , no?
